Today I am reviewing Lo & Son's Aoyama bag and it looks like this.

They make fantastic travel bags with great materials.

They really have the traveler in mind when they create a lot of their bags.

Chris and I already have their book bags and so if you haven't checked out that review, highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a travel backpack.

But today I am going to review the Aoyama bag, how this can be worn several different ways and why I love the organization inside.

It's really buttery soft leather and it goes with so many different outfits.

Before I get into the details of the bag, I want to give you a little back story of Lo & Son's and why I'm such a huge fan of the brand.

The brand was started by an Asian woman in her late 60s, I want to say mid 60s, I think she was like 65.

She was a frequent traveler, her husband traveled a lot and so she traveled a lot with him on business and she was just kind of frustrated with the fact that there weren't any really good travel bags and so she basically started designing bags herself.

And this is why I love Lo & Son's bag because she truly knows what it is like for us travelers and what we want in a bag.

And I also love that she is a female designer because us females, we have specific needs that are different from men and she really goes into all the details of what, you know, we need in a travel bag.

And sometimes she puts details in these bags where I'm like, I didn't even know I needed that and this is awesome, I'm glad she incorporated that.

Anyways, that's kind of like a short story of Lo & Son's.

Alright, so let's get into all the thoughtful features of this bag.

Now at first glance, it just looks like a simple bag, but it is more than that.

So this is what initially drew me to the bag was the side pocket here, it's like a seamless side pocket.

It's really not even noticeable, I didn't even notice it at first when I saw the bag online and then when I saw it being featured, I was like, oh, I really need this bag because I'm always going for my phone and instead of opening the bag like this and trying to like take out my phone and find it, it's a little bit of a hassle, I guess you can say.

Say you're driving by or you're on a bus and you're like, you're sightseeing and you see something, you might miss the moment if you're like trying to look for your phone in your bag that way.

But when it's on the side like this, oh my gosh, it makes it so much easier, so much faster.

I also like that I feel secure that my phone is right there.

I've been pickpocketed before, so I just have this constant fear when I'm in like busy touristy destinations where it might happen again.

I like that when I'm walking around, I can feel it, like I know that's my phone right there.

And I like that I can just hold it like this as well, that my phone is secure.

So this is like my most favorite feature of this bag and this is what drew me to the bag initially.

So the second feature that drew me to this bag was the modular straps.

So the modular straps means that you can wear this bag several different ways.

I like to have my bag like this when I'm traveling or I'm out and about.

So the modular straps, it's really seamless.

Say for instance, you're not a fan of like the way I'm wearing it.

If you want to wear it as a crossbody, that's very doable.

So all you have to do is put on this extra strap.

So they give you like this extra length one and you just clip it on here like so.

And you can adjust the length or shorten it, but then you can wear it as like a long crossbody purse.

So I always remove this extra strap and I usually don't take it with me when I'm traveling.

If you want to make this even shorter and when you want to carry it like this, you can do that as well.

Another way you can wear this bag is to remove both straps.

Say I wanted to go out to like dinner or drinks and I don't want to wear, whatever outfit I'm wearing doesn't quite match if I'm wearing it over my chest.

So I'll remove this and then basically all I do is snap this together and you have a really cute handheld purse.

I love that I can actually hold it because a lot of travel bags that you can wear like from crossbody to another style, it always ends up being a clutch.

Now I am not a huge fan of clutches because one, you have to place it down somewhere wherever you go and I don't like that I don't have a grasp of it with like a handle on a bag.

Like at least I can carry this bag like this and my hands are free if I need to, you know, grab my phone.

With a clutch, it just makes it like I've got too much going on.

So I love that they designed this bag really effortlessly into this nice little, I don't even know what you call this style, like it's like a bubble bag or something and I still have access, easy access to my cell phone here.

It's really elegant as well because the material is super soft.

It's this nice, buttery, soft sheepskin leather.

Another feature of the bag that's really nice is the flexibility.

I never really thought about this, but the shape of this bag, it's like a moon shape and what I love about it is that it actually, when you're wearing it, it really hugs your body.

So like, see how it's like hugging my body?

Now if this was like another type of bag, it probably would just kind of sit like this and it kind of, you know, when you're walking, it kind of gets in the way.

I feel like this kind of like molds to your body.

So that's another thing that I really like about this design is I love the shape and the flexibility of the material as well.

And of course, one of the amazing things about Lo & Son's and their bags is their amazing organization.

There are a lot of thoughtful features in here.

So I'm going to show you everything that I have in here right now.

And this is what I travel with, like if I'm going through the airport and on my flights, this is like what I took with me.

Bottled water, sunglasses, got my little medicine pouch that has like Advil and jammy meat and stuff like that.

This was just something I threw in there specifically for this trip to Hawaii because I thought if it got hot, I should probably bring a little fan.

This is for Bluetooth headphones so you can use your AirPods instead of the really crappy airline headphones.

And then in the mesh pockets, I have hand wipes, tissue.

A fantastic feature in this bag is the key leash.

So anything that I want fast access to so I don't have to go rummaging through my bag.

So I usually put my AirPods on this, works great for like if you have keys.

Lotion, got a hair clip, my airline baggage claim.

Pretty much everything that I got in here.

It still has a little bit more room if I wanted to add a little bit more stuff.

The hardware on the bag is also very nice.

The zipper is like this nice, I think it kind of has like a gold tint to it.

The zipper is seamless and never gets stuck or jammed.

Same with like the buckles here that never gets stuck or jammed.

I love how their logo is not just like right in your face.

I thought it was great how they embossed the logo into the straps like this.

I love how it's just like this really nice seamless design.

This is the ivory color one that I got, but I believe they have it in black and also in navy blue.

So you have some other darker options if you're afraid to go with white.

I'm sure I'll get asked the question like, well, when I get dirty, I mean, so far, like I've said, I've taken this on three different trips and it's been fine.

So I haven't had any issues with like it rubbing on my clothes and the color coming off like that.
