This is our law!  Protesters gathered outside the presidential palace in Kyiv and across Ukraine to oppose a controversial bill signed by President Zelensky.

Critics say the law weakens anti-corruption measures in the country by placing the agency in charge of it under the purview of a presidentially appointed prosecutor, which could limit their objectivity.  The protests are among the largest since 2022, when Russia's full-scale invasion unified Ukrainians against the war.

Several officials have voiced their opposition, including Kyiv's own mayor. "I fully support the people who, today, are opposing this law.

Independent bodies are being turned into dependent ones."  Critics say the law could affect Ukraine's candidacy for EU membership.

The anti-corruption infrastructure will operate, but without the Russian influence.

Everything must be cleansed of that, and there must be more justice.
