This is Hinomisaki, one of the most beautiful points in Japan.

You can feel the power of the Sea of Japan by the wind that hits your face.

We'll get better views as we walk along, but this walk is so beautiful.

You can see the path wrapping around in this direction.

But starting from the lighthouse called Todai in Japanese, we're going to walk all the way to Hinomisaki Shrine, which is a beautiful walk to do.

And I think if you're in the area, definitely worth checking it out.

All right, this is a cave, so it's going to be very windy.

What can you tell us about this lighthouse up here?

This is Hinomisaki Todai, Hinomisaki Lighthouse.

This is the tallest lighthouses of Japan.

All right, we'll get better views as we walk along.

So we can walk there along the coastline, which follows the Japanese Sea.

There's this beautiful path, and we can walk along by the side of the sea, and that will take us from the lighthouse to the shrine.

So if you wanted to continue on the path from the lighthouse, you can get really good views of Okinoshima, right?

So this is a really unique spot, because you get both the sunrise and the sunset from this cape, right?

The wind is cold, but the sun feels warm.

Between the rocks, you've got the sea, and you can see just because we're kind of near the trees now, the wind has really knocked down quite a bit.

Even though the water is, you know, what, 30, 40 meters away, you're getting the spray of the salt blasting off the sea, right?

My image, John, of the Japanese Sea is that it's always really rugged on this coast.

It's a little bit colder than the other side, on the Pacific Ocean side of Japan, and you don't get so many, you know, beaches.

I mean, there are some, but we see this coastline a lot, where it's great for fishing, and it's spectacular views, big waves.

Yesterday, we came here actually to see the sunset.

It's one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen in my life.

The sun streaming through the clouds.  It almost looked like an alien invasion, but absolutely beautiful sunsets you get here, and it's sort of a date spot.
