I'm trying out the Apple Vision Pro today for the very first time, and I figured instead of in the studio, we will go into Tokyo and see how the city reacts to it, because you can't get this in Japan, and how do I look?

So we are in Akihabara, it's kind of Tokyo's tech and gaming central.

I've got my buddy Noah with me today, it's actually his Vision Pro.

The initial experience is a little disorientating, it's a bit darker, and because of the shutter speed, everything has a bit of flicker, but I can screen record what I'm seeing and share it with you, so that's what we'll do.

Very confusing and fascinating all at the same time.

I'm not going to lie, I've had this thing on my face for a solid hour now and it's genuinely, I got to take it off for a second.

I mean, they've got to deal with a lot of weird stuff.

I will say for the most part, Tokyo people handle it quite well.

At best, you're treated with a mild form of neglect.

It's the non-Japanese people who are actually reacting the most, eh?

If I like try to look right at you, I can kind of see you.

This with noise cancelling headphones would be dangerous.

You basically are just, you've left the world.

So you could be getting pickpocketed, the train could be on fire, like any number of things and you would have no clue.

And we've arrived in the ever-noisy, ever-exciting Shibuya crossing.

It's understandable that we get a little more of a reaction in Shibuya rather than Akihabara because Akihabara is kind of the capital of weird stuff in Japan, or at least Tokyo.

Whereas Shibuya is a little more of a mixing pot, so we're getting a lot more people coming up and looking and reacting like this guy here.

I will say one thing, because of the lack of peripheral vision, like I can't see over here.

Crowds feel way more dangerous, like it does not feel as safe to be in Shibuya as it did in Akihabara, it didn't feel safe in Akihabara either.

Shibuya feels, you're just laughing because I'm lucky enough right now to have Noah as a bit of a spotter, but there is no way in the world that I would do this if I was alone.

No, you have to close, yeah.  Shibuya is definitely a different game than Akihabara was, like people are excited to see it.

Alone, like you're done, you're getting hit by a car, like something bad's happening.

Part of me feels like Japan is and isn't ready for this at the exact same time.
