This is my, this is mine. That's all I have to say. This is my private bath in a room that overlooks the river.

I'm going to end this live stream in the bath. So, yeah, I got a light here and we're shining into the river.

Okay, the lights have gone out. It's just pitch black, but what you can't see is this bath. Look how beautiful this is.

How you doing, everybody? So, I'm going to show you the room as well, which is an extremely impressive room for one person in particular.

But I'm here to film a location shoot at this hotel, this ryokan. This traditional Japanese inn has a special story.

I'm going to tell you about it over the next 20 minutes or so as we go through this room.

Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited about this. Here, check it out.

Let's walk through this room starting from the bathroom, which you've already seen here.

Here's the genkan or the opening to the room. Of course, we've got the tatami room here and there's a door.

Again, I think, you know, you should lock your door, but this is a pretty safe place and it's not a very thick door.

You can hear everything in the hallway, but there's not a lot of people here and it's such a respectful place.

You don't have to worry about it too much. All right, we're going to go in there in a second.

This is the room where I'm editing videos right now from what we filmed today.

Here's the futon. And the interesting thing about the futon is that when you go to dinner, which is in a separate room, they come up here and they set up the futon for you. Look how comfortable that futon is.

The futon is actually the comforter, which is on the top of it. The cushion is underneath there.

In the West, we would just call this all a futon set. It's a massive room, isn't it?

Look at how many tatami mats there are. One, two, three, four, five. I think there's like 16 tatami mats.

This is all for me. This is just incredible. One of the wonderful things that you get when you come, when you leave Tokyo and go out to the countryside. I'm holding a torch here.

There's also a balcony, which you can't see outside right now because they turned off the lights.

But in the daytime, it's just a river with snow and mountains all around. This is in a valley on the riverside.

And there's my camera with the tripod here. It's got a lot of use today.

Again, this is another room that I guess if you had kids or a family, you could put the kids in here and make that a master bedroom.

There's another chair right outside there, which is pretty impressive.

And that's about it. It's just a massive amount. It's half board. That's right, Hamwich.

You came right in and you get to feel very, very much that you are in Japanese here.

And this is why I love to stay at Japanese ryokan, traditional Japanese inns here.

Here's the toilet. Oh, the toilet just popped up on its own. It's got a very modern toilet there with a UV light.

A urinal, which I kind of like that. Places will have urinals inside the room.

And then outside here, for those that are joining us, this is the bath.

I'm going to end the live stream out there. You can see it's just steaming. Look at that.

Some of the things that they have in a Japanese ryokan, of course, they always have hot water.

So you can get what's in here, which is a tea set. You have green tea.

I haven't opened this yet, but I'm guessing this is green tea and not matcha. Let's see.

Oh, there it is. Yeah, it's just a green tea pack.

You take that, you put it into here and then you put some hot water and it'll make tea.

You take the tea bag when it's done and you can put it on top of here so it dries.

Very cool. Every single ryokan, traditional Japanese inn, will have these sets in there.

Look at that. It's just so beautiful. That's my water. I should go get a beer from the vending machine.

I'm just impressed with the futon. Look at how beautiful it is.

And they have this sheet over it, of course, to keep the futon clean.

But also they keep a hole in the middle to show you the art as well as it really gets air inside there.

Total down comforter. I'm going to be very comfortable tonight.

This onsen is awesome and I'm going to tell you where I am right now.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the oldest hotel in the world.

This is Keiunkan at Nishiyama Onsen in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Yamanashi Prefecture. I almost said Yamagata. And I'm here to film it tomorrow.

I'll be interviewing the 52nd generation of owners.

This, I believe, recently became the oldest. What's going on with my hair?

This became the oldest business in the world.

There was another, what was it called? Kongo Gumi, I think it was.

It was a business from 500 A.D. that had been building temples for a long time.

But it kind of went bankrupt in 2016, kind of, because it was bought out by another company.

And there's some debate on whether or not that's the oldest business anymore because it had gone bankrupt.

Now, this was second. This business has been in operation continuously as a family business since the year 705 A.D.

And tomorrow, I'm going to interview the 52nd owner of this and get the story.

How do you keep a business going so long? And the service here is stellar. It's so perfect.

They have learned from experience, truly. Everything is exquisite. This is a four-star hotel.

The price for this room, typically, Japanese ryokan are charged by the person, not by the room.

So I think the charge was 55,000 yen per night, which is about $450 maybe with the exchange rate.

So it's quite pricey. But, you know, we might have gotten a discount. I don't know. I'll pay tomorrow.

We'll see what the price actually is. But it can be quite pricey. But you pay for person.

And that price doesn't just include the room. It also includes two meals, the dinner, which is exquisite.

Check this out. Of course, I have some video of the dinner that we took today.

This is the meal that we had. My friend Joe is here, and he's making a YouTube video with me on this.

This is acorn noodles, donguri men. I never had this before. And you dip it in that sauce there.

And, of course, there's the wagyu from this local area, A5 grade Japanese wagyu. So good.

Look at that marbling. And then this was really neat. This was like a turnip with beef suji inside of it and some vegetables.

Just the chef did an incredible job of being really creative with the cuisine here.

I thought so, too. It was an amazing meal. It's like 1030. I'm about to go to bed soon.

So, you know, I might take one more dip in the bath. And if you're up for it, you can join me.

I wanted to show you here. All of these yokans will give you like a gift on the table.

Usually it's like a snack that you can have. This is the kurumi. I think it's just a chestnut or something. I'm not sure.

This one is yokan, which is, I guess it's like a red bean, really sweet. I can have this as like dessert here.

Red bean, really sweet gel kind of consistency. See that?

Inside is a bean. A black bean. Natural sweetness. Love it.

You only get one. And guess what? It's available in the gift shop in the lobby.

So I've been filming all day and I think it's time that we go into the bath and we can talk a little bit in there.

So I'll bring this torch with me so we can get a better view.

Again, this is the oldest hotel in the world. Built, well, it's been here since 705 A.D.

Look at that steam. Oh, it's a thing of beauty.

It is so cold, by the way. It is about minus eight degrees Celsius.

How far can I go before I get in trouble?

Oh, this is the nicest feeling in the world.

There is absolutely nothing better than onsen in your room, private bath.

Now, what is really great about this private bath is that if you have a family, again, if you have tattoos, if you're in a couple, you know, you can't really take a bath together if you're a man and a woman.

There's konnyoku-type baths, konnyoku meaning co-ed or mixed bathing.

There's still places like that. They've done that for hundreds and hundreds of years.

But due to the sensitivity of people and being naked...
