This is one of our family's favorite Japan island beach destinations

And this time we're staying at Hiyori Ocean Resort in the Onasan area

Oh, and the hotel isn't sponsoring this video

We paid with our own money in case you were wondering

Unfortunately, Wolfie caught a cold a few days ago, but before leaving he had no fever and was feeling better

Our main worry is if he relapses. Always a tough call as a parent, but our flight and hotel were already booked

Anyway, not how we wanted to start this trip, but regardless how it turns out this time

This is our full $300 Japan resort hotel experience

Got into the hotel and this place looks pretty amazing

This is a room for the trip the high floor ocean suite last time in Okinawa

But this time we decided to scale back a little bit and share with you a cheaper hotel option

Let me know if this is the ideal price or if you want to see something even cheaper

Or if you want to see something even more expensive. Anyways, this is what you get for the price personally

I'm, pretty satisfied with what we've seen so far in the room and check-in, but there is more resort hotel to experience

We just checked in what's kind of interesting is that it has kind of like a very homey vibe

I feel like we could be in someone's house in Tokyo. I think it will be also just shut down the

Bed area the walls come out or they have these wooden panels here

That will slide out so that you can make like an independent room

Okay, so one of the things I love to do most is to find out what they have in the fridge. Let's see

Look at that so they have some good old classic orion draft beer local beer here and some

They even have these chocolate bars. This one is chocolate drink and milk

This one is ube and pistachio. Seriously, that's pretty cool that they have ice cream and beer waiting for you in their fridge

It's like they're my best friend and they knew I was coming over. You guys gonna go to sleep now?

Yeah, he's gonna work. You're gonna sleep now?

I do this. What do you mean you do it? I put all that night all of it. Yeah

All right, so it's getting kind of late so I guess we're just gonna call it a night

This is an awesome view last night. We came in so late and didn't actually get to see it

It's pretty nice pretty interesting you got like a little island just over there. What is that?

I'm wondering the sky is still a little bit purple

The moon is actually still out which is kind of cool and then just looking below

So I guess we're a pool side of this hotel and ocean side at the same time. Unfortunately, there's like a

Freeway or like a road that's running right here. So it might get a little bit noisy this morning

The family is obviously still asleep, but you know how it is in the morning. You gotta start with my cold italian coffee

Onsen, so i'm gonna go check that out this morning while the family is still asleep

And then we'll probably all have a breakfast together. All right, let's do this

Probably have about two hours of me time before the family wakes up

So i'm gonna do what I do since the hotel has a gym to get a workout in and an onsen bath

All right, so coming back right now that was an amazing sauna gotta do that again

I guess he needs a little extra love this morning

So we had a later breakfast unusual since we let wolfie sleep in as much as possible so he doesn't relapse luckily

This hotel offers extended breakfast hours from 6 30 to 11 a.m

The breakfast buffet is rather impressive in its variety with a large salad bar lots of dressing options yogurt bar baked goods

Pancakes a japanese breakfast section a porridge bar and even this dope seafood bowl section

Everything was fresh and the staff were diligent and refilling the plates. This is a pretty amazing breakfast

They have a lot of different options here. You can probably come here and just do

Breakfast for a week and just pretty satisfied with the options that they have. I went for the salad

You got this umi budo right here. It's seaweed. Usually you don't get this in tokyo. You don't see it very often

Oh, it's good. I like the selection. Everything looks fresh. I mean in the seafood bowl. It's really really fresh

It's great for kids wolfie got some pancakes got some bread

He also has some yogurt and mango flavoring toppings some pineapples watermelon goat cheese thing

So wolfie is feeling a lot better now after breakfast, but since we canceled all of our activities

We decided to go to the renaissance resort, which we stayed at before to see all of their animals again

It's only a five minute drive from where we are

So I think it's an easy decision and although we were worried early on about going on this trip

I'm glad that things are starting to look up

Renaissance is another amazing spot to stay with kids as it's a one-stop resort with multiple restaurants

Dolphins and stingray access turtles walking around and many other water activities definitely an option if you're coming here with kids

So many good memories here wolfie and I played so many hours in this pool the water slide everything it was so much fun

Next we decided to visit hona station a charming roadside parking rest area the perfect afternoon adventure spot to indulge in local foods goods and souvenirs

It's cool they have like a little produce section. Well, not even little there's a lot of vegetables here all fresh

Inside of the main building is kind of like a market selling fresh produce and all kinds of okinawan specialties such as tropical fruits

Souvenir snacks and even mimika pig ears. We love this place. It's a great spot to experience the local culture

This is one of the things I love the most is stopping at one of these rest stops

And being able to try the local cuisine the highlight of this spot is definitely the food stalls

Michael loves sata andagi okinawan donuts and this shop knows what they're doing as they constantly have a line of customers

They're so good. We decided to bring some back to our hotel

And we also got the tebichi pig feet right after you order they re-dip it into their special sauce

So you get all of that delicious flavor to take home with you

All right, so while they are doing their mango

Drink i've got something a little bit special. First of all, we've got a bag of donuts

This is their local donuts. I got the brown as sugar one, which is they all look the same

This is the brown sugar. This is the purple yam and then the other one is plain

Kind of like burnt sugar taste still hot nice and crispy on the outside when we got here

The line was going out to the parking lot, but it kind of quieted down a little bit
