I read a study from the University of Michigan that said husbands create an extra seven hours of housework a week.

In families with over three children, married women did 28 hours per week, which was 10 hours more than the average woman, whereas married men only did around 10 hours total of housework per week, compared to 13 hours of the average man.

And it makes sense when you think about the traditional gendered split of household tasks.

Women are assigned frequent tasks that must be done regularly, often at preset and inflexible times.

Whereas men get infrequent tasks that can be scheduled at any convenient time.

Mowing the lawn, taking out the garbage, repairing the home.
