This virus is not gonna go away in a couple of months.

Scientists will have to find a reliable treatment for it.

It might be the hydrochloroquine with zinc.

It could take a while to determine what's safe and effective.

And yes, for most people, they will only have mild symptoms.

Our first line of defense is fruits and vegetables.

They are like the moat that keeps the enemy out in the first place.

In one study, elderly people were given five servings of fruits and vegetables to eat for 16 weeks.

The people who ate the fruit had almost double the strength of an immune response than those that didn't.

Now, you may ask, what types of fruits are the best?

Now, go for a colorful selection, all right?

If you have the money, go for organic and make sure you wash the fruit off thoroughly before eating it.

Now, when it comes to the best types of fruit, studies show that the kiwi leads the pack.

The kiwi is packed with more vitamin C than an orange.

Research shows that kiwis reduce severity and duration of upper respiratory tract infections.

Another study of young children showed that the kiwi gave them almost a 50% reduction of having a cold or flu.

You add that to the fact that two kiwis before bed will improve your sleep quality and sleep disturbances.

The thing about the kiwis is you can actually eat the skin.

Make sure you wash it thoroughly, though.

Another leader in the fruit category is wild berries.

The polyphenols in the berries, which gives them that vibrant color, creates a significant antiviral effect.

The darker, the redder, the more color that that berry has, the more polyphenols and the better for you.

Another reason to eat fruits, guys, is this.
