And I'm Colman Domingo, and this is Portrait Mode with Harper's Bazaar.

I feel like I'm gonna put a lot of pressure on myself to do a good job, and I'm not gonna live up to what I want it to be.

I just wanna get Tina's hair right, because I think she's got the most beautiful hair in the business.

It might be a little head, I don't know what else.

Everything I've ever learned, out the window.

I wish I was good at painting, because I think it is a good creative outlet.

And I hate that I have to do writing, because writing is torture.

But what is fun is having written something, not the part where you have to get it out.

When I write, I feel like it's my most personal, even more than being an actor.

I've already made a color mess here on the plane.

I need a teeny little brush to do lashes.

Or I could peel off the fake lashes I currently have on, and stick them on this painting.

Colman, what was your first impression of Tina?

I was a little nervous, because I was like, I love Tina, and I hope she likes me, because I admired her work as a writer, as an actor, as a producer.

And I'm like, she's created some of the most incredible shows on television.

And so I was actually just like, just geeked out.

And then you got out of the car so casual, you had a baseball cap on.

Oh yeah, I remember feeling like, oh, I look like hell.

There wasn't a lot of pomp and circumstance about it.

I felt like we got out of an Uber comfort or something.

Maybe it was a- It was like four other people in the car.

But I was just like, oh, she's really cool.

And we just sat there and we just, it just felt like natural and very easy.

Because I think even as we keep getting to know each other, we find out we have so many references and things we love, and things that I think we're made up of.

You know, like water, ice, and soft pretzels.

Water, ice, water, ice, and soft pretzels for sure.

Tina, what was your first impression of Coleman?

Well, when I first met him in real life, we had a meeting to talk about doing this.

And I just was like, I cannot believe Coleman Domingo might agree to do this program.

But I also found him to be very easy to talk to and very like warm and welcoming, you know?

I also love like, every so often when I hear Tina speak, there's something she says that sounds so Philly.

Do you get more Philly when you're tired?

Well, you have probably like beautiful theatrical voice training.

Yeah, but it goes very Philly when I'm tired or I had an extra tequila.

Coleman, what's the best vacation you've ever taken?

Me and my husband, we love going to like really off-kilter places.

That you got to go from LA to Atlanta, from Atlanta to Santiago, Chile, stay overnight and then fly five more hours into the middle of the Pacific.

And it was the most amazing things to the Moai.

And to really just be with very unique people.

It's really small and it's a little bit pointy.

I gave you a bigger mouth because that's the way I see you.

I'm getting really cocky here and I'm trying to try to do like a highlight.

Ooh, all right, I'm kind of happy with this.

Just to counterbalance the trip to Easter Island, I'm going to say the Jersey Shore.

Just because I have a lot of happy memories of going to the Jersey Shore with my whole family.

I'm going to straighten this hair out a little bit.

Holman, how does Danny's vacation style compare with your own?

Which made me think, is Tina reading my journal?

Because I love, and my husband knows this, because he likes to do like very nature-y things and go protect turtles in Costa Rica with no lights on and stuff like that.

I'm like, I'll see you at the Four Seasons.

Because I like, you know, listen, I come from a very humble place.
