I have a homophone lesson, it is two for Tuesday.

Two words that are pronounced exactly the same way, they just have different spellings and different meanings.

We have fishing, the activity of catching fish and fishing, a cyber crime.

Let's start with that syllable number one.

We're going to think about gently biting the inside or the outside of your bottom lip.

It's really just touching that teeth to the lip.

Then we're going to add that short i sound.

Your mouth is relaxed, it's slightly open and your tongue is high.

To do this, start with the sh sound, two letters, sh, one sound.

Rounded lips, the tongue tip is not touching your teeth.

We're going to have that short i sound again.

Relaxed lips and then we're going to add that ng.

To do this, the tip of the tongue is low, back of the tongue is pulled high up, air is moving out of the nose.

Fishing, fishing, fishing, fishing, fishing.

My day fishing was so relaxing, it was interrupted by a fishing email that appeared to be from my bank.
