I would say good morning, but it's still too early for me to evaluate the quality of this morning.

He's on research year this year, so he has just been having the best time waking up with me, only to go back to bed once I leave for work.

Starting off with a little skincare routine.

The hospitals always have air conditioning blasting, which means that my skin and everything just gets so dry, so this is very, very important.

I would say 99% of the times I show up to work with no makeup, but today we're feeling like a different person.

Breakfast, because you never really know what time lunch is, it's really important to just make sure you have enough energy for the day.

Recently, I have been loving this honey Greek yogurt.

Kevin always writes me a little Post-it note before work just to give me some words of encouragement.

My love language includes words of affirmation in case that wasn't clear.

I haven't wrote a note in a while, but you have been working so hard doing great things.

I know how humble you are to help the people of the world.

I'm gonna love you and will be waiting for you when you come home.

How nice to have you supporting me instead of me supporting you.

It's because it's okay if Mickey doesn't have her wallet.

Okay, it's time for me to go back to bed for a couple hours.

I usually take a moment of silence in my car before I go into work and have to socialize with other humans all day.

It is kind of a struggle as an introvert.

Recently, I've been ordering this meal plan to kind of make things a little bit easier for me in the mornings.

A couple months ago, I passed my fourth anniversary as a nurse, and in some ways,

I can't believe that so much time has passed by.

I truthfully had thought I had made a big mistake.

I slept very little, and I had anxiety all the time.

These feelings gradually started getting better around the one-year mark, and when I took the leap of faith to transition from inpatient nursing in the hospital to outpatient nursing, I can honestly say

I was initially scared to take that leap, thinking that I would lose my skills and be less of a nurse.

Honestly, I also gained a bunch of new ones.

While I did take a pay cut in this transition, one thing that I learned is that you gotta work for a long time in your life.

I'd much rather make a couple less dollars and be much happier.

I have to admit, it's still a very weird time working in healthcare.

Over the last couple years, we have burnt out so many of our loving healthcare professionals

It's like nobody wants to work, at least not in healthcare.

Almost everybody I ask says that their workplace is often short-staffed, and mine included.

Life is not easy, but just like this scrub cap says,

I want to remind you that you've got this.

It's funny because all of my coworkers and I are running around, but we don't really say a single word to each other.

None of us are really morning people, so we just wait until, you know, the first patient arrives, and then we start to communicate.

We can honestly read each other's minds without even saying anything.

8.30 a.m., I'm about to grab my third patient of the day, and I always do a thorough chart review before to make sure I know their history and if they've ever seen the provider before, et cetera.

Around 11.30 a.m., I am done with my first round of patients and getting some procedure trays ready for later on in the day.

We've got our first snack of the day, first bathroom break, and of course, lunch.

Kevin and I almost never ever go out, but my coworker, we're gonna go eat with my coworker and her boyfriend tonight, and have a little fun Friday night out.

Yes, I'm kind of tired, but, like, also down to go and get some good Korean food.

Literally the wildest night we've had since we moved to Seattle.

That is the end of our very, very long day.

I'm going to shower and get cleaned up and probably do some unboxing.

I like to savor my unboxings for after-12-hour shifts because it's very tiresome, so it's like a gift and a present to myself.

I'll unbox everything later, but I'm really excited for this.

By the time they see this, like, it'll be past number one.

So I will unbox number one with you guys.

I'm not even happy that I'm already unboxing.
