A fact about me that some of you guys may not know is that I used to do pole dancing for many years. It has been, I think, at least eight or ten years since I did it. But back in the day, a lot of the girls in my pole school had shoes just like these and, interestingly enough, these ones feel exactly like those did. One hour later. All right so step one. Lock the pole. On with your extension pole. Then on with pole B. All right I'm gonna lie it down and I'm gonna screw on pole A while it's on the ground.

This little thing has to have the ridge at the top. You know it's the right one when it's got the two holes on either side. That just sits on here. It doesn't screw down. It just sits there.

Now I'm gonna put on the roof plate while it's on the ground and now I'm gonna measure it. I'm gonna make sure that the length of it is about three to five centimeters less than the height of my ceiling. And up we go. Now it would be great if I had a second person here to hold this for me but I don't. So instead I will just use the force.

The force is not strong with this one. If I twist the large black screw upwards it'll close that gap and I'm going to use my little spirit level.

All right I'm just going to go and make sure that each of these is still nice and tight.

And now I'm going to screw this one all the way down. Tighten it. Then I'm going to take these two screws and the adjuster cover and I'm going to attach it up the top to that very top bolt.

Check that it's sturdy. Seems pretty good. I'm gonna unlock it now. Which way is unlock?

Is it up or is it down? Oh okay it's up. So last time when I spun it for the first time it all came loose at the top. I've got no idea how but when I was doing this it was solid and then I put it in spin mode and I spun it and it went wobbly. So let's see now.

Hey! It's not happening! Okay okay okay okay. I haven't worn these shorts in eight years and I suddenly remember why. So as I learned at Mel's place the other day I'm definitely a bit rusty.

Can't do it like I used to. So I'm going to give myself every possible advantage I can which includes my enormous latex boots from Wish. If you guys haven't seen my latex boots please check it out. The link is in the description box below. Thigh high latex boots are excellent for pole dancing because they adhere to the pole. Look they literally it's like sticky tape. It's a lot easier to grip when you're wearing this sort of thing. It's also considered by some as cheating because part of the fun and part of the appeal of pole dancing is building strength and you build a lot of strength in your muscles and it's a lot easier to grip when you're wearing pole dancing is building strength and you build a lot of strength in your muscles when you grip to the pole but because this is my first proper try at it in many many many years I really don't mind cheating a little bit and also I mean look at the height of these. I might be making it easier for myself in some ways with the stickiness but I'm definitely making it harder for myself just in terms of balance because wearing 10 inch heels on carpet is not easy. Now speaking of making things easier for myself I also picked up this off Wish. This is called Dizzy Grip or DZ Grip Liquid Chalk. At my old pole dancing studio they used to sell something called Dry Hands. This is the product here.

I could not find a place online to buy it. Probably didn't look hard enough to be honest but uh my friend Mel she doesn't bother buying this sort of stuff. She just puts hairspray or like styling gel on her hands so you just put...if any will come out. What the hell? Maybe that's why it was on Wish.

All right well for now I'll just take it from here. So yeah basically you just wipe it on your hands and it helps to...it doesn't really make them more sticky it just kind of stops you from sweating so it stops you being less slippery whereas some people like to use products that make their hands sticky but again see look as it dries it kind of looks a bit like chalk. Now back in my pretty pastel prime pole dancing days I had a lot better core strength than I have now.

I took up pole dancing as a form of exercise and boy did it get me fit. I don't think I've ever been so strong and it's been such a long time that I don't think I'll have much of that core strength left. I used to be able to do this move where your legs would be up and your head would be down there and your arms would be behind your head and you'd basically do like crunches inverted on the pole. I don't think I'll be able to do that and I'm a little bit hesitant to do inverts because despite thinking that this feels strong like yes if I wobble it it doesn't seem like it's going to give but like I said I have known not just one not just two but many home pole dancers that have jumped up and it slipped and it's crashed on the ground. Luckily I don't know of any really severe injuries but it can happen and that's even with good quality poles like X-Pole is one of the leading brands and it can even happen with those. So this one from Wish I'm a little bit hesitant so we're just going to take it slow. I was even thinking of putting on like a routine or something a tutorial that I can follow. I will do that but before I do see what I can remember. I probably should have warmed up first probably should have stretched but I'm impatient so I'm just going to go. I moved the pole here because the rafter thing up here felt really really strong as opposed to that one that one didn't feel as sturdy when I was knocking on it so this technically I think is the strongest spot for it to be but uh I may kick some things. If I kick my fillet in here in a pink princess I will cry. All right so oh I don't like that oh oh I don't like that at all when I'm wearing these boots and I reach up I actually grab onto that thing that's the cover oh that's annoying hang on if I pretend I'm my normal height if I pretend I'm my normal height

I can't reach the cover but wearing these heels I do reach it oh god I'm nervous good thing I have the dry hands on because I'm sweating okay so just a standard sit oh I can still do it yes still got it. Watch how easy this is climbing the pole with the sticky boots so you want your foot to be on one side of the pole and you want your knee to kind of be on the other like this so that way you sort of create a bit of a lock in between can you you see that so you lock yourself in you hold up high god I don't don't listen to my advice I don't actually remember the form I'm supposed to use but I think if I used to step into it and then you lift up oh okay this is effortless effortless like I'm not even trying in the slightest because these boots they're just gripping I'm not doing anything I'm weak weak and pathetic and look look how I'm gripping if you wear latex boots you it's just the easiest thing ever so well did you hear that did you hear the stick when I dismounted if I try to do that without the boots on I'm going to embarrass myself oh hey I'm doing it

I'm doing it nope enough back to the boots I am really annoyed about that cover up there because usually when you have a cover like that it fits snugly on the pole and you don't notice it and it doesn't spin separately to the pole or behave differently see it's just jiggling it out give it one more shake all right I'm gonna try and um I don't remember a single move here's a fun one I don't think I'll be able to do this I'm gonna embarrass myself but let me explain to you what this is supposed to look like you sort of bunch up in a ball then you kick your legs out and you throw them back over your head and then you wrap your legs around the pole and then you do a sit-up it took me three weeks from the time that they started teaching us this to me being able to do it that was back when I was actually a pole dancer so you do something like this and then you no I don't remember you're supposed to like wrap your legs and then you're supposed to oh my god help help supposed to look a lot more glamorous than that I've got one line like this and then you do this oh wait and then you do this it's something like that
