Now let's examine which country suffered more losses, what each side gained, how much false propaganda was spread, and what lessons can be learned from this situation.

India conducted missile strikes on nine targets in Pakistan on May 7, 2025, under Operation Sindor.

These strikes were in response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025, which resulted in the deaths of 31 civilians.

India described the strikes as focused, measured, and non-escalatory, emphasizing that the targets were terrorist infrastructure, not Pakistani military bases.

However, one of the most controversial claims is that India attacked mosques in Pakistan, alleging that Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were being trained there.

But no credible evidence has been presented to support this claim.

The sudden attacks, carried out at 1am across nine different points, caused widespread panic and fear throughout Pakistan.

As a result, the initial losses were primarily on Pakistan's side.

During these strikes, India reportedly used Rafale jets armed with Scalp cruise missiles and Hammer air-to-ground precision-guided bombs.

At the same time, Pakistan scrambled its air force to respond swiftly.

It is reported that this became the largest air battle in modern South Asian military history, with over 80 Indian Air Force fighter jets involved and approximately 40 Pakistani Air Force jets deployed in response.

However, there is still no official update on the fate of the pilots from the four or five downed Indian jets.

In terms of human loss, Pakistan suffered more, with 31 civilians killed.

However, in terms of military equipment, India took a heavier hit, losing four to five fighter jets that were reportedly shot down by Pakistan.

Initially, India denied the attack, but later claimed that it destroyed a Pakistani HQ-9B air defense system using these drones.

However, no evidence has emerged to support this claim, no images, no verified videos.

It's important to note that Harop drones are equipped with high-resolution cameras, and any successful strike would typically be recorded and widely circulated as proof.

Since no such footage has appeared, it strongly suggests that this claim was false and likely propaganda.

Another fake news story emerged, claiming that India had shot down a Pakistani F-16 and captured the pilot.

But ask yourself, has anyone seen an image or video of the supposed Pakistani pilot?

Because under Pakistan's agreement with the United States, F-16s cannot be operated outside the country without permission.

Following that, even more exaggerated and fake reports surfaced.

At one point, it seemed as if Pakistan had completely taken over India.

While on the other hand, Indian media was showing footage claiming that INS Vikrant had attacked Karachi, and the city had been destroyed.

But remember, both sides were spreading propaganda, and these stories were entirely false.

Then, on May 10th at 5.15am, Pakistan launched its retaliatory strike, Operation Bunyanun Marsus.

During this operation, Pakistan used the Fatah-1 MLRS to strike limited Indian military infrastructure, though most of the attacks were intercepted by Indian defenses.

Amid this, a new claim surfaced that Pakistan had destroyed an BrahMos missile storage facility, and that a JF-17 Thunder had destroyed India's state-of-the-art S-400 air defense system using air-launched hypersonic missiles.

However, no images or visual proof of this destruction was released, so this too was likely another fake or exaggerated claim.

When I watched Indian media, it felt like Pakistan had been completely destroyed.

When I looked at Pakistani social media, it looked like India had been wiped out.

For a moment, it really felt like the conflict might escalate into a full-fledged war.

But as always, the United States stepped in and brokered peace, and the drama ended with a ceasefire.

In reality, it might seem like this war was only between India and Pakistan, but in truth, it was more of a battle between Western and Chinese technology.

The main equipment used on both sides included French-made Rafale fighter jets, and on the other side, Chinese-made J-10C fighter jets.

On paper, it was always claimed that the Rafale, a twin-engine jet equipped with advanced spectra electronic warfare systems, was vastly superior.

In contrast, the J-10C, a single-engine jet, was considered less advanced because it was Chinese-made.

However, in the wake of these India-Pakistan clashes, the J-10C has significant recognition.

The world is now more likely to shift interest towards Chinese weapons systems.

Even U.S. officials have acknowledged that Chinese technology is beginning to surpass Western technology in certain aspects.

As a result of these developments, the stock value of Dassault Aviation, the company that manufactures Rafale, reportedly dropped by 8 percent, while Chengdu Aircraft Corporation, the maker of the J-10C, saw a 19 percent increase in its share value.
