Too many things come along to change you, to change your opportunities, to change the world.

So if you can't figure out the future, what do you do?

Focus on what you can do right now that will be good no matter what the future brings.

Create stuff, learn skills, go on adventures, make friends.

One skill that you can learn right now is to learn to embrace discomfort.

The best things in life are usually difficult.

Creating is hard, marriage is hard, exercising is hard, learning a language is hard, life is just plain hard.

But if you start out giving yourself a small dose of discomfort, you can conquer anything.

Learning to be okay with discomfort is the foundation to anyone's magnificent future and if you don't embrace it, you'll miss out.

I wanted to talk about moving to Japan and having a legit plan.

When you come to Japan, you don't really have a plan.

I feel like people just come because they want to experience the culture or they want to, you know, try their hand at teaching and they want to do all sorts of things here and then they say like, oh I'm going to go back home and I'm going to, you know, start a life back where my family is.

But when you move to Japan, honestly like, it's like the toughest thing to leave.

Once you live here for a short time, a lot of people end up going back and they're like, oh I miss Japan so much.

So when I moved to Japan, I thought like, I'm going to be teaching here for a little while.

I'm going to be teaching for a little while and then I'm going to be going home and starting a life at home back where my family is and I just never left and it's been almost seven years and I didn't have like a legit plan.

I think a lot of people come here expecting to, you know, just stay for a little while and then move back.

That wasn't the case for me and I just feel like I wish that I had planned my life out a little bit more but at the same time I don't because I like the mystery of it.

I like not knowing where I'm going to go next and just kind of living day by day because when you suffer from anxiety like I do, you don't want to always plan everything and structure everything and that's just kind of how I am.

I'm 29 years old and I actually forgot how old I was for a second.

I don't feel like I'm going to be 30 next year, but I am.

And in the next five years, I want my life to look different and I feel like when you're in your 20s, that's the time to discover who you are, to try new things, to practice new things.

And the 20s are not over for me yet so I am really exploring what I want my life to look like in the next five years.

And the next five years, I'd like to see myself obviously starting a family, possibly starting a family.

I don't want to be too old when I have kids, so I have to think about that.

But right now, I feel like our life is kind of just beginning.

Yuji and I just moved into this new place.

We're not in a rush to get married on paper yet.

I want to start a sort of lifestyle business and a consulting business for people who want to move to Japan or want to learn about starting a channel or Instagram and how to get engagement and all that stuff because I've studied it extensively and I've learned how to grow and how to engage people and how to really push yourself to move forward in this world that I'm in.

I feel like once you start YouTube and you want to succeed in it, you can't stop.

It's content, content, content constantly.

Also, I'm currently working on a Facebook group, which I really like to try because Yuji keeps saying he doesn't know a lot of people.

He doesn't know a lot of creative people or photographers and things like that.

And I want to get a group going of serious people who are passionate about what they do.

And that's something that is going to be looking up for the future.

I would love to leave my job and make a living off of what I do.

I want to do something more that'll help you guys or help other people.

I think that's the best kind of business to start.

There's so many things I want to do, but I just am a little nervous to continue or to  I'm currently a teacher, as you guys have heard in my Q&A, and I love teaching.

I moved here because I wanted to be a teacher, but I don't know if I want to do it forever.

So I'm exploring and I'm learning and I'm trying to figure out where I see myself in the next five years, and I'm hoping that it all works out.

But I see myself raising children and having my own business, and I think that would be so amazing.

I want to thank you guys, too, because I did finally get my play button for hitting 100K.

I have no real place to put this right now, but I wanted to thank you guys for especially those of you who have, you know, watched me from the beginning as StrawberryMochi.

This reward means a lot, and I know it's so hard to get to, you know, a million subscribers, but this is honestly enough to show that I've worked so hard, and you know, I've made over 250 videos on YouTube.

I just want to, you know, give back to you guys somehow, and that's why I'm focusing on the projects that I'm focusing on, and I think that things are looking up and things are doing really well, and I'm really lucky to be with the man of my dreams right now who treats me amazingly and works so hard as well.

And yeah, I just want to thank you guys for this and for everything that you've done, and hopefully in the next five years, you'll see me doing great things.

I don't think any of you guys should give up, especially if you're thinking of starting a channel.

It took me, like, four and a half years to get to this.

Your time will come as long as you continue to make great content and grow in skill and knowledge and, you know, interact with people.

I think that's the most important thing when you're trying to grow as a YouTuber.

This is just a small part of my life, but I want to share this with you, and I want to share it with you, my plans.

I hope that you'll continue to follow me and learn about this country.

So we're going to get going, and I'll see you guys in a bit.

Of course, there are things I wish I'd thought about before becoming the adult that I am.

I'm still learning, but I don't let the future control every aspect of my life.

If I put myself too far out into the future, then I'm never really present in the now.

I should have brought bug spray because I'm probably going to get eaten.  That's a nope.

Alright, so we're at Todoroki Ravine right now, and I'm going to take some photos and pictures, and there's lots of spider webs down here.

I've never been here during, like, the week, so this is kind of nice.

This is, like, less people, and it's very quiet and peaceful, and I'm really loud.

But yeah, last time I came here on a weekend, it was so busy.
