Basic passive voice

When you reach the pinnacle of the hill, you want to stop and appreciate the vision, but the next thing you want is a higher hill in the distance.

You want a goal that you can never attain.

Right, so you can always move closer to the goal that recedes as you move towards it.

It is like Sisyphus pushing the rock uphill.

But it is not, because as you pursue that goal, you put yourself together and your life does get better and richer and more abundant.

That is why the highest levels of virtue and goal are in some sense transcendent.

You want them to be above everything you are doing, so you can continually move towards something that is more sublime and better.

You want to be like an active warrior moving uphill with your sword in hand, and that is that is dynamic, that is exciting.

Well, one of the really difficult things to learn when you are down and out is how far you are down, because it is humiliating.

The rule, it is a pretty straightforward rule when you want to get back on your feet.

And the rule is, you have to make the tasks small enough so that you will do it.

I have never seen anyone not be able to progress if they made the tasks small enough.

When people are very down and out and they decide to make a move forward, in some ways they are facing the whole panoply of problems that confront them.

It is like, you know, they see the tip of a reptile's tail outside a gigantic closet, let's say.

And they look and they think, well, that is just the tip of a tail, how what harm can it do me.

But it is connected to the whole damn beast.

And the advantage to that is that if you make that first step forward, you are actually advancing in the form of in the face of all that opposition.

And you will start progressing not linearly, but exponentially in speed.

So what is cool is that it doesn't really matter how small that first step is, because it will start doubling.

And anything that doubles grows unbelievably quickly, and if you take a sufficiently small first step and get the ball rolling.

You can be cruising along at a pretty good rate, generally faster than you will think.

No, and and you can do that with any problem, literally any problem.
