  • Nice to meet you.

  • My name is Kevin and I have a lot of experience in retail.

  • I worked in a shoe store for three years and I'm very passionate about sales and customer service.

  • That's great.

  • Can you tell me about a time when you had to handle a customer complaint?

  • Sure, there was one customer who wanted to exchange a pair of shoes that she had worn outside.

  • Our store had a policy that we can't accept shoes that have been worn outside, but I knew she was really disappointed.

  • She left the store happy and thanked me for going above and beyond.

  • Excellent.

  • I like how you handled that situation.

  • Can you tell me about a time when you had to meet a sales goal?

  • Yes, there was a month when our store was offering a bonus to any sales associate who met a certain sales goal.

  • I worked hard to make sure I knew all the features of each shoe we had in stock and I was able to exceed the goal and earn the bonus.

  • That's impressive.

  • Do you work well as part of a team?

  • Yes, I do.

  • There was a time when our store was hosting a special event and we had to work together as a team to make sure everything ran smoothly.

  • I worked with my coworkers to plan and organize the event and it was very successful.
