So you will basically speak English with me.

We will have a dialogue where one line will be mine and the next one will be yours.

I'm gonna say my line and then you will read your line from the screen, out loud as if you are answering me and then vice versa.

This will be small talk between two neighbors and trust me,

you do want to practice making small talk with people because for Americans making small talk is like taking a breath of air.

It is that natural and effortless and they make them all the time with everyone, even strangers.

So first, we will listen to the full dialogue and then proceed to the practicing part.

Oh, hello! It's been pretty good, thank you. How about yours?

Not bad at all. I just finished some yard work and it feels nice to be outside on such a lovely day.
