  • -We're freshman. -Oh, wow, cool.

  • So, the first, like, essential question is, what do you think is the biggest stereotype of Harvard students?

  • That we're all really competitive.

  • Because I'm like the least competitive person I know,

  • and, like, everyone here, I feel like, just want everyone else to succeed.

  • I don't know. It's like, everybody is, like, smart or like, everybody is always, like ,studying.

  • I feel like people think that the majority of Harvard students only do school,

  • but so many people here are involved in like so much else.

  • Like, everyone has their own story here and like have- like, just crazy things.

  • -What's your story? -My story? -I put you on the spot.

  • Trust me, we- we're not always studying.

  • Yeah, that's what I was going to ask you about.

  • So, like, how often do you study a week do you think?

  • Um, I don't know.

  • Not that much, like... I guess.

  • Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.

  • No, there's definitely work to be done at Harvard, but, like, people have fun.

  • So, what is the average Friday night look for you?

  • I guess I'll put it in this way.

  • From Monday or from Sunday night to Thursday night, the library is open 24 hours,

  • Friday the library closes at 10 pm.

  • -Yeah, same at my school, or nine, actually. -Nine, oh, okay.

  • -They just know no one's gonna study. -Yeah.

  • So, like, Friday night after eight o'clock, everybody's just like, we're done for the day, we're done for the weekend.

  • We play lacrosse and then we're involved in different clubs.

  • So, it depends on, like, what I have for the day.

  • I feel like the time that we do have free here because we practiced until every morning, we're always in the library doing work.

  • Like, we find, like, we never have a minute at our dorm, but it is fun.

  • -And we all, like, work together. -Oh, really? -Yeah.

  • -It's all like... all of our classes are really collaborative. -Oh, nice. -Yeah, yeah, which is so nice.

  • Most of the studies happens on Sundays, right?

  • Yeah, Sunday we- everybody gets back on the grind.

  • In the last few weeks, we've had tournaments on Sundays, so we haven't been able to.

  • -Yeah, we've had to, like, space it out. -Yeah.

  • We're supposed to, like, we're really been trying to get it done earlier in the week.

  • Sometimes I do find that I, like, push it off until Sunday, but we always find a way to get it done.

  • -Yeah.

  • But, not to say that I'm, like, flying through everything easily, but I did definitely expect it to be like, I would be at the library from morning to night.

  • Do you ever feel like burnt out at Harvard at all or do you, like, manage it pretty well?

  • Don't you think it's, like, very rigorous here, or like, compared to your expectations?

  • No, I thought it would be harder.

  • -I'm overwhelmed, but... -Because I feel like you always have to be doing something.

  • So, what's your average bedtime?

  • Do you think... Do you have a consistent sleep schedule or...?

  • -Twelve, one. -How about you? -Ummm, me... twelve, one, two, three. It really depends.

  • We had practice from 3am to 10am today.

  • You have, like, organized practice at three a.m.?

  • But it's like outside of Harvard.

  • Yeah, like people come in and they make us do like drills.

  • It was really cool.

  • Yeah, It was cool.

  • -You just got coffee and you're good to go? -Oh, yeah.

  • You guys do 8am classes or not?

  • -Do you have class soon? -Yeah.

  • -Mine are cancelled because of the strike. -Oh, yeah.

  • -Yeah. Yeah, so we don't have class.

  • Sounds good.

  • Rarely am I like... cuz' I was -Like, less than two hours a day. -I'm obsess with TikTok, but I don't have a lot of time for TikTok.

  • -56 minutes. -Oh, today, but like, on average?

  • -Oh, on average. -Oh, an hour already today.

  • Nevermind.

  • Over quarantine, mine is like eight hours, but here it's like- max two hours.

  • And here, I'm so directionally challenged, so I have to maps everything. -Oh, yeah. That's what mines comes from.

  • -That and music. -Yeah.

  • -I've lost a lot of... I've lost like two pairs of Airpods. -Oh, wow.

  • What other schools did you guys apply to?

  • And did you, like, obviously didn't expect to get in Harvard? Right?

  • Well, it was a different process for us because of athletics, like we-

  • We only applied to Harvard, and then we, like, kinda knew we were gonna, like, get in.

  • Cuz' our coach has to, like, make sure that we're good enough to get in before we commit.

  • Were you guys, like, all about victories?

  • -She was. -Oh, cool.

  • -How about you guys? -I was not, but... -Because? -Yeah.

  • especially freshman year, like, since everyone is able to fit in there and get food in there,

  • we met so many people and so many people who friendly, like, everyone is open to, like...

  • -Everyone is so kind. -Yeah.

  • And, like, I just feel like we've been able to meet so many people from, like, across the world.

  • And we're, like, still meeting people too, which is cool.

  • -And you're just freshmen. -Yeah. -There're so many more.
