  • He's being weird but

  • I think it was a success!

  • Natsuki: Oh! No coming!

  • Sharla: We're going to go meet up with Chris and get some dinner.

  • All right, we are out in downtown Sendai.

  • Choosing an izakaya for dinner.

  • This isum…a really good izakaya in Sendai

  • If you're looking for one.

  • It's called Sharaku

  • Chris: They do everything. They do chicken.

  • They do wagyu sushi.

  • Sharla: Oh..really?

  • Chris: They do omelets, they do fish, they do sake. Let's go!

  • Chris: Are you gonna pay, Natsuki?

  • Natsuki: You're gonna pay?

  • Natsuki: Sharla?!

  • *Sharla laughs*

  • Natsuki: Shut up!

  • All: Cheers! A happy New Year!

  • Sharla: So, the most izakaya give you a dish, when you sit down and

  • you kind of you have to have it.

  • You don't really get a choice and it's always

  • something different but the one here is

  • deep fried fish. It's called otoshi and

  • they do charge you for it.

  • It's kinda like a seating charge but it comes with a free dish.

  • More often than not it's stuff that you don't really like.

  • Sometimes it's something good but

  • It's usually things like this.

  • Natsuki: I don't like!

  • Sharla: Natsuki doesn't like it either.

  • Chris: Is this good? You want this, Natsuki? Special roast?

  • Sendai wagyu for 1500 yen? That's a bit cheap.

  • *Chris laughs*

  • Chris: So easily tempted! It's probably fake. Do you want it? Yeah!

  • Chris: Which one do you want, Sharla?

  • Chris: Salad! YEAH!

  • Sharla: So this is agedashi tofu.

  • This is what I always order when I come to an izakaya.

  • It's probably my favorite dish.

  • It's deep fried tofu in a soup broth with green onions and seaweed.

  • And this one comes with ginger, which is really nice.

  • You should definitely try it, if you come to Japan.

  • Sharla: So much food!

  • Chris: This is one of my favorite things.

  • It's a rolled omelette. Look at that!

  • Fresh, fluffy omelette complete with a knife, its upside down.

  • Sharla: Can you make this?

  • Chris: You bet I can! I am the omelette king!

  • Chris: It's so fluffy.

  • Sharla: They roll it so it's got different layers.

  • Sharla: We ate so much!

  • Natsuki: In Sendai, food nice!

  • Sharla: Very nice! Natsuki: Yeah! Beautiful food.

  • Sharla: Good! I'm glad you liked it.

  • Natsuki is gonna go hang out at Chris's studio now.
