Today we have come to Kanazawa kinda meaning gold's our meaning marsh.

And I was actually known to produce 99% of japan's gold or domestic gold.

So we're gonna go find some gold themed foods.

We're gonna do some Gold themed crafts and just kind of explore the town.

And right now, as you can see, we're in a really traditional area and we're in a district which is where all the Geisha used to work over 200 years ago.

So it feels a little similar to kill though.

But I'm kind of like curious to compare how it differs.

So let's go and explore and let's find the gold food.

Oh my God, we came to, it's one of the biggest gold leaf manufacturers and it's right in the middle of Higashi chaya and we've got this gold ice cream where they put like a sheet of gold on it and it costs about 900 like almost Kendall ice cream.

I've always wanted to try gold leaf things, but I just want to try gold itself, wow, Maybe you should do that.

You can taste the metal on your teeth, you can get 24 karat.

It's so cute.

Looks like a nice, I want a new accessory.

Yes, you look like japanese.

I feel like so many fancy food.

Just put gold leaf on it to make it more expensive.

So good ice cream.

And we also have this beautiful background which is made apparently of 24 Karat gold.

Also, this place is really great about like taking photos and videos.

They actually encouraged that they have like hashtags and the stuff like get your video camera ready because we're pouring.

And like the ice cream out when they put in the king.

Yeah, they've even got this stand for your ice cream.

They also have like a little river downstairs.

You come here and there's so many other gold things to try.

Yeah, we are at the end and then we're drinking beer and I'm having a soda with gold flakes and I'm having some Kanazawa craft to hi, everyone got something kind of our leverage.

Yeah, we also got something a little bit interesting.

We got some Tako Yaki, which is not the first food I would think of to be gold leafed, but we are, what they do here is they prepare the hockey as usual.

But Then when they're finished, they've got this like sheet of gold.

The same one that we've been seeing everywhere like the ice cream and just carefully ever so carefully place it on top.

But you have to be careful because like any kind of like wind movement or air like really affects the way that this place.

And also these takayuki looks super soft, very like usually I feel like they're a little bit harder.

So this was very, this was about 1200.

Wake up, it's so soft on the inside, it reminds me of the way.

So this is my second time having.

Yeah, I really like the middle bit is inside so many kind very kind.

I found that so many cute gold related goods here.

I have no idea.

In Japan first dream of the New year means a lot one thing we are saying is and gold.

So it is, if you see the dream that heard that that's great.

Second best is like ego, that's the second best and someone is the eggplant, eggplant.

But in order to see those good best streams for the New Year, you're putting this gold under your pillow.

So maybe you can get more chance.

But the great thing about this district is everything is really close by the other place, The ice cream place just literally 30 seconds across the street.

So you can hop around and try lots of things and it's great to share so you can have more gold stuff.

It's a really nice thing if you have nice presentation at home.

But the gold itself does not add any flavor.

100% aesthetic.

But from here, I don't know.

I want to, I want to make something like a little souvenir to take home.

So when we find someone, yeah, let's go.

It's so nice to walk around the Higashi chaya district, but always take note that you can't eat food and walk outside.

It's like a pretty common thing in japan, especially around tourist areas.

So if you want to eat something, go into the shop, eat it and come back out and keep on walking.

So, in Kanazawa, this area is famous for having lots of geisha houses, but they're not called geisha here.

They're called gigi.

So if you come here, the first of them is gigi, I'd love to see one here.

Maybe next time we have arrived at kim Pakiya Sakoda, which is a place where we're gonna be using gold leaf to decorate some things that we choose.

We're excited to do an experience with gold.

Real gold.

I want to touch it for some reason.

I want to eat it.

I don't know why.

I mean we've had some, but I want more, you know, you're getting crazy though.

Getting gold crazy in my bloodstream.

I want to be a billionaire.

You can spread it to one kg of gold is $80,000 approximately.

But with that kilogram you can make 53,000 sheets, wow.

So here we can see these are the bits that are getting cut off from the bamboo and the remains will be like once again melted and then put back into the hard form and then used in cosmetics or other things.

So it's amazing that they're not wasting anything.

Of course it's time to design the things that we are going to take home with us.

Things were gonna decorate with gold.

We have to basically carve out of shape in masking tape and then we're in the space we're gonna put gold.

So it looks easier than it actually is getting.

So I'm gonna be making, it's just a little box and I'm gonna be doing a design on the lid.

I'm going to be making my own chopsticks that I can eat at home with.

So I'm excited and I chose to use for the makeup.

We all chose black.

Yeah, there were color options like red and obviously green, but I feel like black is classic and black and gold.

What a great combo.

That's so satisfying to watch way with the cheapest option 800 and but the work seems like every movement, wow, that looks so pretty, looks like pocket.

It's great weather even though it's autumn chopsticks, these ice creams are served on chopsticks and you get to keep the other chopsticks so you get a set, which is so cute.
