  • - Okay, let's set up your Salesforce IQ account.

  • Now IQ is a web based application,

  • so you can technically use any web browser,

  • but there are a lot of integrations

  • with the Google Chrome browser.

  • So I suggest if you don't already have a copy of it,

  • go to google.com/chrome and download and install

  • a copy for your operating system.

  • Then after you have Chrome installed,

  • go to Salesforceiq.com and click on Pricing.

  • Next you'll need to choose

  • what CRM license you need for your business

  • and how many licenses you need

  • to purchase for your organization.

  • The starter license limits you to managing

  • and sharing one list

  • among up to five users in your organization.

  • And it offers only a limited number

  • of the basic business intelligence reports.

  • The growth license allows you to manage and share

  • an unlimited number of lists to as many users

  • as you need to purchase licenses for,

  • as well as access a bunch of prebuilt

  • and customizable reports.

  • It allows you to integrate your IQ account

  • with up to three other outside services,

  • and it allows you to create and send mass emails

  • to your customers.

  • The business license adds some additional reports,

  • an unlimited number of integrations with outside services,

  • and to provide you access to the Salesforce IQ API,

  • which can be used by your developers

  • to create custom integrations between your IQ data

  • and your own internal apps and web services.

  • Now keep in mind

  • that no matter which of the IQ CRM licenses that you choose,

  • you will need to purchase a separate license

  • for each individual that will be using the system

  • from within your company

  • and all the licenses are billed annually.

  • Off to the right is an optional add-on license

  • for Salesforce inbox,

  • which lets you tie the Salesforce inbox mobile App

  • on your iOS or Android device to your account.

  • This is incredibly helpful,

  • especially if you're on the road

  • and you need to manage your customer relationships

  • from a mobile device.

  • If you're unsure of which license that you need,

  • or you simply want to follow along with this course,

  • then click the button for Free CRM Trial at the top.

  • This will give you 14 days

  • to try out all of the features of the IQ CRM product.

  • Then to create your account,

  • you'll need to sign in with your Google account,

  • a Microsoft Exchange account or an Office 365 account.

  • While all three types of accounts will work,

  • I found that the Google account tends to work the best

  • with some of the integrations with Chrome.

  • I'd also strongly advise you

  • to only use a dedicated business address to sign in with

  • rather than using a personal account.

  • Now, the reason is, that by signing in,

  • you'll be giving the Salesforce IQ app access to your email

  • to better integrate with capturing customer data

  • and communications automatically.

  • After you sign in and authorize IQ to access your account,

  • you'll need to set up your business IQ account,

  • choose a log-in email address.

  • I'll use my same email address

  • and set a custom IQ password for this account.

  • Then enter your business or organization's name

  • and your business phone number.

  • You'll then need to check the box

  • agreeing to the master subscription agreement

  • and the additional terms.

  • Then click the Sign Up button.

  • Now after a few minutes,

  • your account should be set up

  • and you're presented with a brief on-screen tutorial

  • that you can click through

  • or click the Skip Tutorial button in the upper right.

  • Now congratulations,

  • your Salesforce IQ account is now set up and ready to go.
