So now I'm gonna give you a little room tour.

I'm gonna start off with the like living space or bedroom space and the crystals going to the bathroom.

So when you walk in you look straight forward, you see this desk here, nice working desk.

All of your outlets are right here, which is nice.

You don't have to go searching for outlets.

Everything is right here.

You probably will unplug this because we never use the alarm clock um so that we can you know, charge our other devices.

Um I wish there was there's one USB one USB.

Okay, I'm not sure what people use this stuff for.

Um but there's other outlets there as well.

Um Phone notepad, There is a um menu here if you're hungry and then we don't have much of a view but that's okay.

Um you know we're gonna be exploring once the day anyway so I don't really need the view.

The chair looks really nice and comfy, it's like thick.

So you know if you did have to work, this looks like a nice chair to sit down in for a while.

Also actually if you had to do zoom meetings in here, this is the perfect spot because all this light is coming in this way, so you get that nice glow on your face if you're on a zoom call.

Yeah, so if you're hungry there is a menu here and there's many options from day menu.

Breakfast night.

So yes, if you're hungry you can order food crystal is a diamond Hilton member.

So we actually with our stay get a free breakfast so if you want to order room service you know there's plenty of options there.

But if you are a diamond member like crystal when we checked in, they gave us you know, all the hours of what's opening that comes with the Executive Lounge.

So we do get free breakfast and it gives those times they even have afternoon treats.

I don't know if we'll be able to enjoy that just because we'll be out doing things because that's from 2 to 2 to four, it's kind of midday um and then evening canopies and drinks which we didn't really know what that was and we did just check it out just like light bites, um drinks wine, you know, stuff like that.

So we went there and enjoyed that um during that time which is 5 15 and 7 15.

So yeah it's nice if you're a diamond member, they have nice little perks like this.

They made a little nook right here just for the long mirror.

So um at least they have and there's like one outlet right there, so maybe this could be a charging station to, we're in a prime location like Big Ben and Westminster Abbey were within walking distance so you know, accommodation in this area were run a little high and also probably the space will be a little bit smaller than other places so that's probably why we have like the two single beds but whatever as long as we have a bed I'm happy.

It looks pretty comfy too.

So I wanted to see how that's gonna turn out because I really want to get some good rest tonight cause I'm tired from all the traveling um on each side of the bed there are outlets.

There's one, I wish there was a U.

But it's just like one single outlet here.

And I love that all of the light fixtures they're they're labeled because that is one thing I hate having to figure out is like which light goes to which lamp and all that stuff.

So I like how there's um how they even have like if you want to make the light soft or dark.

How fancy.

So there's another phone here and on this side of the nightstand they did leave a little present for crystal.

We haven't opened it yet.

We're not sure what's in there.

I'm I'm assuming it's chocolate.

Alright so here is the coffee station.

Coffee and tea station.

I think because London they're big on t they actually give you a hot pot so you can warm up your water really fast if you want tea espresso machine.

I feel like all the hotels these days like it's pretty much an espresso machine.

Um And then if you open up this cabinet you'll have an espresso pads.

Your tea selection.

I think this is oh it's skim milk interesting.

Okay I've never seen that package like that sugar and over here is a mini fridge.

There is some water in here.

I'm I'm guessing it's complimentary because we don't see a list of prices for snacks and drinks.

So yeah I'm pretty sure this is probably complimentary.

So this wall unit is very interesting.

There's there's actually a tv here.

I don't know if you can tell but yeah I've never had a hotel room.

It was so flat and the tv was like this looks kind of futuristic.

Alright so right here we have the closet and that is pretty spacious.

You can fit in a lot here when you open it.

It has a sensor light too so you can see things better which is great because this room is kind of dark so we need the extra light in here.

Um You have space up top that where you can put things in here.

Already put my two suitcases and my bag.

They have a row here but they have another one in the bathroom and I actually like this gift bag thing.

I mean not like I'm gonna do anything with it but I just like that.

They have a gift bag.

Also their tagline is never just stay stay inspired and they have lots of hangers, I would say they have about 10 to 12 hangers up here and a luggage rack.

So they have an iron and ironing board and for the other side they have a digital safe.

It's pretty small but I mean it looks pretty deep, you can put a lot of stuff in there and the hair dryer is actually located in here.

So if you're like in the bathroom looking for a hair dryer it's actually in the closet.

Uh Some other things like some shoe shining things like a shoe sponge, they have laundry if you want to do laundry, they have the service here and uh slippers.

I always like when hotels provide slippers, it's very nice and here is the bathroom, they have a really big mirror, big square mirror with this ring light around you.

So it looks really nice when you're applying your makeup for you know dudes doing their hair.

Uh they also have a close up mirror here so that you can pluck your eyebrows.

I like that's like the most obsessive thing is just to go there and pluck your eyebrows.

Like this little plant here.

This little greenery they added to the bathroom to add a little bit of color because it is very brown.

Um it's like very old school kind of looking.

So I do like that, a little piece of like modern greenery to this place.

Um So towels, there's plenty of towels everywhere.

I feel like they located towels in random like throughout a variety of places.

So there's like a big towel there, big towel here to hand towels and then here is this little cart that you can pull out.

I have never seen this before.

So you know you can store things in here and just get out of the way and put it inside.

But yeah, so there's more towels in here and some other things actually is you can pull this out and they have a shaving kit.

This is oh a dental kit.

So if you've got your toothbrush, some makeup pads, mouthwash, shower cap and another pair of slippers, this is the sink looks very where I think we have plenty of space, you know for me and Candy on each side.

So that's good, we'll probably move around and shift things around a bit so far, mojave ghost body lotion.

And over here is the shower and bathtub, it's a deep tub.

So if you want to take a bath it's probably really nice here and it's a huge shower head above and also a handheld shower.

So we like to use a handheld shower.

I don't really like the rain shower and neither does candy, so we never use it, but we're just glad that they have the option of using a handheld shower head to and let's see in here is a little section for the toilet, just your standard toilet.

Alright, so we're at the end of our stay now here at Conrad ST James London and we stayed here for a total of three nights.

Um We have a lot of mixed reviews actually.

Unfortunately there's a lot of cons we wish it wasn't because the service was excellent but the room itself, there was just so so many things wrong with it that we didn't really enjoy our stay here.

No, I mean I guess we'll start, do you want to start with the cons?

Okay.

I guess we'll start, we'll start with the bad and then go end with a good Yeah.

So okay bad with the bedroom.

Um Crystal was not a fan of the beds.

She said it was too firm.

I was actually okay.

Candy was okay.

I did not like these beds at all especially because Hilton, the Hilton brand is known for super comfortable beds and I've always, you know praised Hilton for they're really comfortable beds but I do not like these beds at all.

They're so firm.

Yeah, I mean like I said like I was okay, so the hair dryer, we can't even use it in the bathroom because the plug that they have, it's only a two pronged whereas the hair dryers are so we can't even use the hair dryer in the bathroom, we have to use it in the room and the biggest con was our A.

Was out for two days and it's still out and they didn't even offer to exchange rooms.

Didn't even tell us that it was broke.

We woke up in the morning like in the middle of the night we're kind of getting hot.

Um Because you know London itself is pretty cool so it's not like we were sweating too much you know most most of the time we were fine but it was that night when temperatures are still rising or we're about to go down and then when you take a shower of course the room gets really steamy and then you're blow drying your hair and you get all sweaty.

So it was stuffy in here and when we initially called because I waited a little bit because we thought okay maybe it's just us not you know adjusting it correctly and then when we called um and let them know they're just like absolutely like okay so we thought they would fix it but then we went out, came back and it was still freaking hot in here, well not super hot anyways uncomfortable.

And when we finally went downstairs to let them know they're like oh yeah the whole floor is out.

It's like okay well thanks for letting us know.

We called hours ago they offered to actually open a window.

Um But it's just a little slit basically crack that's open again you know?

Yes we did get some air in here and it was better than the first night we didn't have a c but it was still stuffy after we both took showers and as she said like drying our hair all that, it makes you sweaty.

You know right after you take a shower of course you're hot so it's not enough for just like one cry of a window to be open.

And of course this all sounds like petty, but just to let you know this hotel is expensive.

So if this was like a regular priced hotel, okay whatever, like I don't really care but you're paying a premium for these rooms and these services so that's why it gets a little bit annoying that you're paying for it and you're not getting it.

Especially a C.

So that's all for the bedroom and stuff, There's more for the bathroom.

So the bathroom was probably our worst place where we experienced all of khan's Oh yeah the shower, oh my goodness, there's no door and we don't like the rain shower.

So we have to use the handheld shower and that just spews water every there's no way of avoiding water not going out of the tub.

So every time we took a shower we come out and there's a huge pot of water all over the floor.

It's dangerous, it's slippery.

So we have to put all these towels on top when you step on the towels on mushy, it was just it was messy.

So they do have like a half a glass shield which I've seen at other european hotels, but usually it's still shields, you know, even if you're using a handheld shower, it'll shield most of the water from going down on the floor.

But this was did not even think of that, their design was terrible.

They only thought of the rain shower if it goes down, then maybe it won't splash so much.

But no, we don't use the rain shower because I don't like it at all, and we both do not like it, so we like to go with the handheld shower.

So then the next day we ask for room service so we can get new towels and have like the floor cleaned up and all they did was just take away the towels and not replenished our towels.

So yeah, they took all our towels but left are dirty towels though.

And that was kind of odd because, you know, we did have some little towels that we didn't use.

They even took those no sense.

And I feel like they didn't really clean the room, they maybe put like the pillows over the the, what is this, the comforter?

And that's about it.

It's like, I think I pretty much did that anyway before I left the hotel room.

Yeah, so room service, I don't even know what's up with that, so we didn't even get room service the next two days because they were just going to take away our towels, so we're afraid of that, they were going to take away our towels again and we have to call for more towels.

Um, so that was odd.

Also the water didn't drain properly in the shower, so we had to take off the top part of the drainage and then it drained.

So like that, that was another annoying thing.

We just came from paris and had a great hotel stay there and like coming here to a more expensive hotel, we were just expecting more or the same I guess and it was just the quality, it was such a downgrade and so it came down to the slippers too because like these slippers aren't like what we had in paris, it's just, it was so cheap, you could barely like put your feet in there and you can use it all right.

So now going to the pros um, location, location, location, this location is fantastic.

It is definitely the prime location because we barely took the metro.

Um, the only time we took it actually is when we went to Hampton Court Palace and that's like an hour away.

So of course we have to, but everything else, we were within walking distance to everything.

All the eateries.
