  • Simon: We've eaten lots of sushi on camera, today we are finally going to learn how to make it.

  • Martina: Now when we say sushi you might be thinking of nigiri sushi

  • Martina: That's like the rice with the fish on top of it

  • Martina: But sushi actually is an umbrella term. When you think of it, like, you can learn how to make pasta

  • Martina: But are you gonna make lasagna, are you gonna make ravioli, are you gonna make linguine? They all fall under that umbrella.

  • Simon: Today we are going to be making maki sushi and temari sushi.

  • Simon: Apron me! Both: Apron-ation complete!

  • Miki: Hello, my name is Miki. I'm originally from Aichi prefecture, my home is a Buddhist temple.

  • Miki: Normally I see a lot of people come over to the temple. Mom and grandma

  • Cook a lot of dish for the guests, so I was trying to help them.

  • [Laughs]

  • Miki: I love to cook.

  • [Jingle sound effect]

  • Martina: Don't worry buddy you're gonna- when we roll it, you're gonna

  • [Music]

  • [Sound of rewinding]

  • Miki: Chopstick. Roll it. Turn it over.

  • Martina: [understanding] Hmm!

  • Martina: See you're actually rolling it.

  • Miki: Yeah.

  • Martina: I've never tried that I keep trying to flip it, but-

  • Martina: I made this! No.

  • [Laughter]

  • [Sparkly sound effect]

  • Simon: So just placing a little bit of vegetaboil oil.. bloil...

  • Miki: Okay. Simon: It's alright to flip now?

  • Miki: Get it and then...

  • Simon: Under the middle

  • And then... flip and destroy. Miki: Yeah. [Laughs]

  • Simon: I ruined it...

  • Martina: Did you get it ducky?

  • Simon: Not even close.
