  • We just bought all the crazy, unique things that are on the menu at McDonalds in Japan,

  • And we are going to try them now and see what we think!

  • [Life in Japan Theme Song]

  • We literally just ordered every unique thing on the menu.

  • Three different bags.

  • And it's all here.

  • How much money did you spend?

  • ¥4,000 (or about $40)

  • That's a lot of money. That's not that bad for this much food.

  • Guys, we're going to have to do one massive prayer to bless all this food.

  • Dear Jesus, please bless all this food. Oh my goodness! Look at all of this!

  • Joshua, we got you a happy meal.

  • Oh, let's pray first.

  • Everybody fold your hands.

  • Sarah, please pray for us.

  • Dear Jesus, thank you for this wonderful day,

  • Please bless all this food. And please help it to be yummy.

  • In Jesus' name, amen.

  • With the food blessed, it was time to start the taste-testing.

  • Sarah and Joshua had their normal menu items, but the rest of us would try some new things.

  • I like this kind of French fry. Oh, uh huh.

  • Ok, save space girls.

  • We got regular chicken nuggets for Sarah.

  • And we got spicy chicken nuggets for us to try. Whoa, spicy chicken nuggets.

  • We didn't get any sauces.

  • Oh we didn't?

  • We were supposed to get some sauces to try with our chicken nuggets,

  • But I think in that huge order they were a little flustered and forgot to give us our sauces.

  • We'll try it again next time.

  • We only ordered unique things,

  • Because they have the Big Macs and regular cheeseburgers and hamburgers.

  • They don't have any big size American burgers like a quarter-pounder with cheese and blah, blah, blah.

  • I really don't know because I didn't really like McDonalds too much in the States,

  • But I do like McDonalds here.

  • So first we are going to try the Filet-o-Fish.

  • Filet-O-Fish

  • Oh that looks good.

  • Now they have this in America,

  • But I think Japan packages it so cute

  • Oops, I might need a serrated knife.

  • You guys stay sitting down and eating please.

  • How is it Anna?

  • Do you like it? Fishy?

  • Yes? Momma-chan?

  • Can I see?

  • Tastes like fish with tartar sauce.

  • It's very good.

  • I'm going to try it. Daddy's turn.

  • It's kinda exactly what I expected. It's good.

  • I like the tartar sauce actually. It's good.

  • I don't think I would reask, reorder it.

  • I might.

  • You might? Uh huh.

  • I would.

  • Ok guys, you have to remember what is your favorite of all of them, ok?

  • Besides the ice cream.

  • Becca, on a scale of 1-10, how was the Filet-o-fish?

  • 8/10.

  • That was really good. Wow!

  • Anna? 6/10.

  • Mommy? Maybe a 7/10.

  • I think I would do 7/10 too.

  • Then I'm going to do 7/10 too.

  • And I'm going to do 7/10 too. Oh my goodness.

  • We have fries here just to cleanse the palate in between tastings.

  • And at the end, a couple McFlurrys Japan style.

  • Now we are going to try this Samurai.

  • [Samurai - mayo triple bacon thick beef]

  • The Samurai Mac.

  • It's got bacon, tomato,

  • Ohhhh boy.

  • Oh look at that sauce.

  • Come to daddy.

  • No, come to Becca. Come to Becca.

  • Here goes Becca.

  • Gonna give it a bite. The Samurai Mac.

  • It's hard. The bacon's kinda chewy. Here, Anna's going to try it.

  • Anna's going to try it while Becca chews and decides what she thinks.

  • It comes to your heart. It comes to your heart?

  • It comes to like your heart. What do you mean it comes to your heart?

  • Oh, she's trying it.

  • It comes to your heart. Oh, that is good.

  • That teriyaki sauce... It's teriyaki?

  • I'm not sure what it is.

  • I think Anna likes it because she hasn't said anything, she just keeps eating.

  • Oh yeah.

  • For me...

  • I don't know what rating I give. Maybe a 8/10.

  • It's really good but I think after awhile, you would get tired of that flavor.

  • It's a very strong flavor.

  • 5/10 of maybe less than 5.

  • What??? You were just like its the best thing, it warms my heart.

  • No, it comes to your heart. I don't know what "comes to your heart" means.

  • What does it mean Anna?

  • I don't know.

  • No, your heart starts to hurt because it's not that good.

  • It's like its so strong it...

  • Oh my goodness.

  • Anna? First bite was 9/10 but then as you get used to it, like a 7/10.

  • Oh yeah? Oh I see.

  • Yeah, I think it was really good. It was like a 9/10 when you first start it.

  • But then it does get kind of old, I think it would. I only had 1/4 of it.

  • The taste comes out very strong. It is really strong.

  • Now we are going to try the double beef Samurai Mac. [Samurai double thick beef]

  • So there is no bacon or lettuce. No lettuce or tomato, just...

  • What? That's an interesting color of cheese. It is!

  • My goodness. It looks spicy.

  • Oh, this might be the spicy Mac Samurai.

  • So girls, are you ready for the next round?

  • Ready?

  • Kind of. I don't want it to be so spicy.

  • I'm going to have a napkin over me. Under me, I mean.

  • Yeah, because you make a mess. You are daddy's daughter.

  • Oh! Good thing!

  • You didn't even... All you got was the bun!

  • How does the bun taste Becca?

  • Put some meat in that bun.

  • I'm scared! Oh, I licked my finger!

  • It is hot!

  • I'm scared. Here, try it Anna.

  • Do you not want to try this one? I want to, but I don't want to.

  • Is this the one that Daddy is going to end up eating?

  • Whoa! Anna's like a champ.

  • Oh, she puts it down.

  • I'm going to eat mine.

  • Spicy Samurai.

  • Does it get hotter and hotter as you go?

  • Yes! It does?

  • No.

  • Not so bad.

  • You girls are very dramatic though. Makes for a fun video.

  • You know, it burns around your lips a little bit.

  • It burns in my tongue! Like in my throat.

  • Who eats this? People.

  • If you are a Samurai, you can eat that. You can handle it all.

  • For Daddy, this might be a 9/10.

  • I like this. You know in America, I always got the spicy chicken sandwich there.

  • But we got a spicy chicken nugget.

  • Oh yeah. And a teriyaki chicken filet.

  • Oh man, there's onions. Um hum.

  • This is good. It burns your tongue but it's super delicious.

  • Oh boy, we got something very unique to Japan.

  • [Shrimp Filet]

  • Tada!

  • A shrimp burger.

  • See all the shrimp in there? No thank you.

  • You don't want it? No. I want a tinsey one bite.

  • You don't like shrimp? How do you know you don't like it?

  • I tried it a kura sushi. I tapped the wrong thing and I ordered like...

  • Have you tried this? Want to try it again?

  • You should try just a taste. Maybe one bite.

  • Anna's one bite.

  • I can't take the smell of it. Well, don't make yourself sick.

  • Daddy's going to try it.

  • I don't really care for shrimp but I want to try it.

  • I love it.

  • Can I go spit it out? Yes, you can go spit it out.

  • She was not a fan.

  • But Momma-chan.

  • This is good. This is what you would order.

  • It's about a 10/10. It's a 10/10!

  • 0/10. 0/10 for Anna.

  • Becca? I didn't try it.

  • You didn't try it?

  • Are you going to? Yeah.

  • Be brave young one. Be brave.

  • Oh wait,

  • You guys are so crazy. You are.

  • You like react before you have your initial reaction.

  • Ok, I'm not a big shrimp fan, but here we go.

  • Tastes like shrimp. It does. It's good. It's decent. I would eat it.

  • Now we are going to try the Teriyaki Chicken Filet.

  • Teriyaki. They do love teriyaki in Japan so you can pretty much get it on anything.

  • Oh wow. That looks good. That does look good.

  • I want 1/4. I would eat that.

  • It's a lot of chicken.

  • Teriyaki. Teriyaki chicken. Here goes Anna cakes.

  • Smells like teriyaki, Looks like teriyaki,

  • It tastes like teriyaki. Well, you haven't tasted it yet.

  • It must be teriyaki.

  • Censored, censored.

  • Who's mother do these kids belong to?

  • Here Becca. Ok Becca.

  • Momma chan.

  • I think so far the best is the first one.

  • That's good. It's good. What did you say Becca?

  • Maybe, maybe, the first one might be the best.

  • You know, it reminds me of teriyaki chicken from Panda Express.

  • Really?

  • Oh, now I really want to try it. Here, let me give it to you.

  • It almost tastes like you should eat it with rice instead of on a burger.

  • Yeah, it tastes like sweet and sour chicken. Is what it tastes like.

  • I'm going to take one more bite. It's good.

  • What do you want? Ice Cream.

  • Well, we are making our way there. Not yet!

  • And last but not least, Spicy chicken nuggets.

  • It's actually the first time I've actually seen them.

  • Yeah, that's a new item on the menu here.

  • You want one?

  • We were supposed to get a garlic sauce for it but they forgot to put it in our bags. That would have been awesome.

  • I want to eat it.

  • You're the nugget fan.

  • You are, the nugget connoisseur.

  • She dives right in. Good? Bad?

  • Not so spicy. That's not spicy.

  • Not spicy?

  • It's peppery. Peppery. I do love pepper.

  • I'm probably going to like this. You're going to like this.

  • I like this. It really needs a sauce to go with it, but...

  • [Conclusion]

  • Ok, so what did you think. The main courses.

  • So of all the ones we tried today, the shrimp was probably my favorite.

  • The shrimp was momma-chan's favorite.

  • Anna?

  • What was the one that was a 9/10 that you liked?

  • The Samurai bacon and tomato.

  • Oh, the Samurai bacon and tomato.

  • Becca?

  • Not the spicy one, because I can still... It still hurts her heart.

  • Maybe the chicken nuggets or the one that Anna just said. Or the fish.

  • The fish? The fish.

  • I think my favorite was the spicy Samurai Mac, was awesome. Oh, so good.

  • I also really liked those pepper chicken nuggets. Those are good. I have to try those again with sauce.
