  • Episode 31.

  • I live in a country where people work full time on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, a country where Christmas is more like Valentine's Day and not Christmas.

  • Every year I stay in Japan for Christmas.

  • It gets harder.

  • I get my annual crying episodes in and spend time with my friends mostly.

  • Last year I went home and asked my family what they thought about me being so far away.

  • And I'm not really sure they can handle it around such an emotional time, either.

  • All right, I'll be home.

  • It's hard, but this year is a little bit different.

  • As some of you may know, I met my Japanese Beyonce on instagram.

  • I flew to L.

  • A.

  • I met him for the first time and we got engaged.

  • Now we're living happily ever after in Tokyo, Japan, living our best lives.

  • We got an apartment, went furniture shopping and had fun, creative dates, all in a span of a couple months.

  • Yeah, it was fast, but it was great.

  • We worked hard to be together and we gave each other the world.

  • But our fun time has come to an end.

  • And do he has to get a real Japanese company job becoming the ultimate salaryman.

  • So now I'm alone again Christmas Eve with not much to do.

  • But you know what?

  • That's okay when everyone else and their brother is working on Christmas.

  • What do you do?

  • You set goals.

  • I sat down and wrote up my goals for the next year and what I wanted to accomplish.

  • I use this time to get motivated.

  • My fiance and I scheduled a time to spend on the weekends and made that our Christmas celebration.

  • And we have a New Year's and Christmas celebration coming in the next weekend.

  • Well, that's right.

  • Is it?

  • What?

  • Mhm.

  • You know, open it.

  • This part was broken because I don't want to stop my eyes.

  • Yeah.

  • Oh, these are so pretty.

  • It's like cauliflower.

  • I think it's a cauliflower.

  • Flour.

  • Yeah.

  • So pretty cool.

  • I like that plant.

  • It's a nice plant.

  • Yeah, little bonsai tree looking things.

  • There's a bonsai tree.

  • I want one of these in our apartment.

  • Yeah, that's for old people.

  • We're old Well, before not telling me that if you ever go home.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • In Japan, amongst hefty work schedules, there are plenty of Christmas markets that make it feel just a little bit more like actual Christmas.

  • And for me, that's legit enough.

  • This is so they have little shops and stuff.

  • This is so cute.

  • I want to get a picture here.

  • Mhm.

  • We're here at the Christmas market right now, and it's raining.

  • We got a good seat, but it's raining outside, so we're like, we have an umbrella and we have our sausage and pretzel and everything.

  • How big is it?

  • Oh, my God.

  • Hot, juicy.

  • I like that.

  • Christmas alone is a chance to recharge and reflect.

  • I enjoy it, and I see it as a different experience.

  • Mhm, but yeah.

  • Mm.

  • Okay, so apparently, there's a natural goods store around here, but I kind of wanted to go check out.

  • So I'm gonna head a different way and go a different route.

  • I'm gonna go see what they have, because it would be nice to, um, see if there's any, like, organic foods or something like that.

  • I'm gonna head to the store and see what kind of Christmas stuff they have.

  • So it's actually a pretty nice day.

  • It's not that cold, but yeah, This is a little bit of the neighborhood old Japanese house from a long time ago.

  • Temple kids drew pictures.

  • The side?

  • Yes.

  • Like shrines and stuff around.

  • Very windy.

  • Mhm.

  • So this right here, close up.

  • The house is hard together in Tokyo.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm little shrine here.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Okay, Now, don't get too sidetracked.

  • We're gonna head across the bridge.

  • Okay?

  • Mhm.

  • I love this.

  • It's so cute.

  • Sky tree.

  • Okay.

  • Mhm.

  • Okay.

  • Narrow streets.

  • Wow.

  • Yes, it's huge.

  • Great.

  • Like the little details.

  • Well, did you?

  • Wow.

  • This is beautiful.

  • Like, Mm hmm.

  • Okay, so I just kind of kicked in, and it looks like there's, like, some package things, but not so much to buy there.

  • Um, it's very small.

  • So it wasn't really expecting that.

  • But there's so many cute things around here.

  • A little hair studio.

  • So we're just gonna head to the market.

  • This is a nice little walk, though.

  • It's very peaceful.

  • It was like Japanese house.

  • You These houses are so cute.

  • Oh, my God.

  • Mhm.

  • Mm hmm.

  • Uh huh.

  • Garden in front of somebody's house.

  • Isn't that amazing?

  • Is so cute.

  • It's beautiful.

  • Another old house.

  • Mention myself about condition of the skin.

  • Yeah, Yeah, that's time.

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

  • Thank you.

  • Yeah.

  • Fire.

  • Really good, Yeah.

  • Mhm Yeah, yeah!

  • Mhm Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

  • What?

  • Okay, so I just got my stuff.

  • It's kinda heavy.

  • Hopefully it gets Back in one piece and I'm heading home right now So we're gonna walk a different way this time Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Longer walks are sometimes what we need to recharge I try to take a different path when I have the time to experience a new journey This mhm mhm.

  • Something else.

  • Oh, okay.

  • I just got home.

  • It's called.

  • It's really warm in here, though.

  • I'm gonna just take a break for a second before I work on some stuff.

  • But I bought a lot of stuff, and I'm going to show you what it is when it's dinner time.

  • So fast forward to dinner and I'll show you everything that I'm cooking and what I'm doing before you g comes home.

  • I think he's gonna love this.

  • This is gonna be awesome.

  • We don't have a light in our kitchen, which kind of sucks, But I put a candle on the table because I wanted it to look nice.

  • Anyway, I had made Christmas dinner.

  • I don't know how I'm gonna react to any of it because some of it has is made with eggs.

  • So we'll see if I start to feel weird.

  • I'm just going to stop eating it.

  • But I made a lot of food and usually really wanted something like this.

  • So I just wanted to make something for him, mostly.

  • So, as you can see on our table, we have mixed vegetables with garlic and olive oil, and then I have a makeshift salad here.

  • That salad basically is just made in the store.

  • Japan loves cabbage in their salad, and that's not everything.

  • So I'm going to kind of reheat some stuff.

  • Ignore the bananas were not eating that for dinner.

  • But we have fried foods here, which I cannot eat a lot of, because I know I'll have stomach problems and I heated up some of the lobster.

  • Oh my God, we have lobster.

  • This is crazy, but some cake in the refrigerator.

  • But I'll film it later.

  • Cake here and then some appetizers, cheese, ham, crackers, some beef jerky, all that stuff.

  • And we have a second cake over there because I didn't know which one again.

  • And I didn't know which one do he was gonna like, so I just bought both.

  • They're so beautiful.

  • I just couldn't I couldn't not buy it.

  • So we have our spoons.

  • Here.

  • We have plates.

  • We have mugs for the coffee or whatever and our beautiful table set up.

  • I need to move these jackets.

  • Yoga mat here at this place is a mess.

  • But anyway, this is our little setup for now.

  • What do you think, baby?

  • Amazing.

  • Isn't it?

  • Good?

  • Oh, my God.

  • Mm hmm.

  • I am the type of person to spend the holidays in a peaceful setting.

  • I feel like doing this at least every other year allows us to think and be grateful for the smaller things in life.

  • And, hey, this is our first Christmas together, so I'll always cherish.

  • And remember this day, even though Diggy had to work hard most of the day, I'm about to cut the cake.

  • Yes.

  • Cut it.

  • That looks so good.

  • I know.

  • I'm gonna cut a big piece.

  • Mm.

  • Yeah, yeah.

  • Look at this handsome man Shower.

  • How am I 16.

  • I didn't say You were sexy, Jenna.

  • Merry Christmas, everybody.

  • It is actual Christmas Day here in Japan, and I am doing nothing.

  • It looks very nice outside today.

  • A little bit cold, have a bit of digestive distress from yesterday.

  • And the good news is, I had an egg today and I didn't really react to it.

  • Immune wise, I usually react with an immune response, and I did not.

  • So that's good news.

  • I still feel a little bit of digestive distress, like I said.

  • So I'm going to keep going with my protocols.

  • And I'm going to keep healing my gut and never go back to the way that I was eating before.

  • But it's Christmas.

  • So we had a lot of food yesterday.

  • Yeah, and this morning we had some breakfast.

  • Do he didn't know what an egg in a basket is?

  • Or an egg in a frame.

  • Whatever you guys want to call it, it's called egg and a frame.

  • This is crazy.

  • Oh, how did you just put it in the center?

  • You open it up, you cut it open.

  • You cut a hole in the bread, you put butter on it.

  • But I made it for him and I had one, and it was good.

  • I had mine with him in the beginning.

  • And then I had a second one with egg, and I didn't really respond so much.

  • So that's good news to hear about my health.

  • But I still have a long way to go before I'm, like, 100% healthy.

  • But I feel good.

  • I feel happy.

  • I feel hopeful today.

  • I'm not gonna do too much.

  • I'm gonna end the vlog here because, um, I just wanted to show our Christmas and how we celebrated tonight.

  • We're gonna watch a Christmas movie, and that's about it.

  • Um, have some leftover Christmas cake and just relax.

  • Today do G is working.

  • Like I said, you know, people working on Christmas.

  • Thank you guys for watching this video.

  • It's another year in Japan alone on Christmas.

  • But New Year's is huge in Japan.

  • So I can't wait to show you guys what we do on New Year's and my trip to his hometown, which will be very interesting.

  • And I hope you guys will like the rebranding of my channel, which I'm doing right now.

  • I was going to change my channel to my name and my actual name Kelly.

  • Elizabeth.

  • But I did not.

  • Because my name is going to change soon.

  • I would really like to use my my full name.

  • Um, so if you guys see Kelly Morita, that is gonna be my name in the next couple months or so.

  • So I just want people to get used to it.

  • Before I actually changed everything.

  • Because last time I changed everything, nobody knew who I was anymore.

  • So I think people were confused.

  • Like, who is this?

  • Who did I subscribe to?

  • So, um, my name is gonna be loveless Kelly my channel name, but everything else is going to be changed to my real seemed to be named.

  • Um, I don't want to change it to anything else since it's going to change.

  • So, yeah, that is the reason why I'm just warning you guys.

  • So I hope you guys like the new banner and you like the new series and all that stuff, and yeah, 2020 is going to be a very good year.

  • I can't wait to see the transformation of everything and to succeed in many things and have lots of opportunities and meet new people and all that stuff, so it's gonna be a very good year.

  • I'm so happy.

  • My fiancee is the best person in my life.

  • I've never met anybody more perfect than him.

  • And he's treated me with so much kindness and love.

  • And we have the same interests.

  • And he loves traveling.

  • He loves creating.

  • He loves doing all that kind of stuff.

  • And he always inspires me and gives me ideas.

  • And I love that.

  • And he worked so hard.

  • And I've never had a relationship this amazing and this easy.

  • And, um, I'm glad I'm happy.

  • I have no doubts.

  • Nothing bad to say about anything.

  • It's just our life is amazing.

  • So anyway, thank you guys so much.

  • Thank you guys for watching.

  • And I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

  • I'll be uploading as much as possible and I'll see you guys next time.

  • Bye bye.
