  • ah, welcome to Kyoto, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

  • This is the kansai region, including Masaka and today we're going to be taking a driving adventure, starting it for three days from here to Coach Prefecture.

  • Now you could take the train there on a rail pass changing at uh Okayama to get to Chicago.

  • But we're not gonna do that instead.

  • We're going to rent a car rental car agency is just down the street a little bit more on that.

  • If you do want to take the rail pass, I think my rent a car, you're going to be able to see a lot.

  • So let's go to the rental car place.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • All right, so this is the rent a car.

  • This is a Toyota rav four.

  • It's a beautiful car.

  • That's going to take me to my destination.

  • Today.

  • At least today I'll be making it to Chicago.

  • This is going to take three days to drive down there.

  • Um, this is the route, Check it out.

  • We're gonna be leaving Kyoto on the highway and drive past Osaka and Colbert and Himeji.

  • I don't think I'm gonna be able to see the castle from the highway all the way down to Okayama where the interchanges and from there.

  • I'm gonna see if I can do a livestream at Kojima, which is famous for jeans, making jeans here in Japan.

  • Then cross over the great Seto bridge, which is going to be very beautiful.

  • Especially on a nice day like today after we get over there, we're gonna go straight through you don country to Yeah which is this beautiful valley in the middle of Chicago where all the mountains are.

  • I know you're gonna love seeing that on this trip and then after a night there I'm gonna be getting back into the car and driving through to Coach E Prefecture through coaches city and eventually to the Shimanto area to the Shimanto River Valley and Nakamura station.

  • Our goal.

  • This is so exciting.

  • A couple of things.

  • If you do want to take the JR rail pass you can do it to, you have to change at Okayama station and there are direct trains going all the way to Coach E through Shikoku and if you are coming in by train from Okayama to coach you can stop off at a bus station and catch the bus there.

  • It'll take it to Eea which you're not gonna want to miss break up your trip and spend at least one or two nights India because it's so beautiful.

  • Get on to Coach E.

  • And um when you get the Shimanto, just keep in mind that if you do need to rent a car and you want to use your rail pass, you can rent a car in at Nakamoto station in Shimanto city and you can also rent bicycles at the Shimanto tourist, the tourist office right there at Nakamoto station which is the main station in Shimanto city, you're gonna love the Shimanto River Valley.

  • If you had never been there before and I've been here several times before.

  • It is, we're driving to now.

  • It's gonna take me over five hours from kyoto to get there about five hours I think.

  • But if I drive straight, but I'm not gonna do that, I'm gonna take my time with this because that's what a road trip is all about.

  • See what I can see, do what I can do and if I find something really interesting, I might just suddenly go live and share that with you.

  • I think the great thing with this channel is I have the ability to live stream and just show it to you and, and share something amazing that I find whether it's some restaurant with, or it's some site like the greats at the bridge from amazing viewpoint.

  • I'm gonna be looking for that tonight.

  • I'll be staying in India and then the next day making my way onwards to coaching and if everything goes right and the weather is, is, looks pretty good right now.

  • On the third day I'm going to be able to be on a riverboat, uh, going down the Shimanto River and I'm going to take you with me.

  • They said there's Unagi onboard and that would be the ultimate goal to have a big unagi lunch there.

  • Um, I'm gonna get a coffee and get back on the road.
