  • Here's how to start your day off to the perfect morning.

  • First, avoid impulsively checking your phone. This starts you off in a state of reactivity

  • versus proactivity.

  • Second, build momentum with a small productive win for the day. Make your bed and put away

  • any clothes rather than leaving them on the floor.

  • Third, you're dehydrated after sleeping, so make sure you drink plenty of water. Breakfast

  • is not the most important meal of the day, and eating is optional. If you do eat, have

  • a balanced meal rather than one loaded with sugar.

  • Fourth, getting your body moving feels amazing after being mostly immobile overnight. I do

  • a 10 minute stretching routine, but walking, yoga, or a full on workout are great options.

  • And finally, practice some mindfulness or reflection. Meditation, journaling, or setting

  • the three goals for the day can make a massive shift in the trajectory of your day.
