  • Becca, Anna. What are we getting ready for this weekend? What's gonna happen?

  • Our 6th grader trip. Tomorrow!

  • Tomorrow?

  • [Life in Japan Theme Song]

  • Is this what we do when Becca and Anna are gone? We get on their bed? Oh! You scared me!

  • Yeah! And use it? Oh my goodness.

  • You scared me!

  • Sarah.

  • Awe, it looks like a birthday card. Do you want to open it really quick?

  • Yeah. For Sarah. I want to wait until after I come home.

  • Ok.

  • Oh, so cool you got a birthday card in the mail. Fun!

  • From Aunt Joy.

  • Did you know mommy bought a balloon machine?

  • What did mommy do? She bought a balloon machine for my birthday.

  • She bought a balloon machine to inflate balloons? Cool.

  • So, we're gonna go see if we can catch a glimpse of the girls coming back from their trip.

  • From their 6th grade elementary trip.

  • Whoa!

  • Oh yes!

  • Oh, yes!

  • We're just waitin' for the girls.

  • When will they come. No clue!

  • We're waiting at a park near the station so we can see the girls come back from their trip.

  • Kids in Japan know that when 6th grade comes, it means a special overnight field trip to one of Japan's famous places.

  • The girls and their classmates took a special train, reserved just for them and a bus to Niko,

  • An area famous for it's ancient temple,

  • Beautiful waterfall,

  • And monkeys.

  • They stayed overnight and had lots of great traditional food and now we're anxious to see how their time was.

  • Becca! How was it? Yeah?

  • Good. Did you have fun?

  • So, the waterfall? Yes.

  • Super cool? Kinda cool? Yes. Super, duper cool.

  • There's like wild animals there like, deer and monkeys.

  • And, another type of animal that you can hardly see. We saw all of them!

  • And the monkeys were like 10 of them all together.

  • Wow! That's really rare.

  • And, we saw a deer. Some kids.

  • And then, at the waterfall, only some times there's this little cute animal coming out.

  • Wow! At the waterfall? Yea. Sweet, very cool.

  • She's opening up her birthday card.

  • You're opening your birthday card.

  • Oh, the first, the night, dinner, there was this strawberry cake. Aww, so good. It was so good?

  • Was this umbrella good? Yes.

  • 8! 8! 8! Awe!

  • So Anna, what was your favorite part of the trip? Oh, the waterfall. The waterfall was cool?

  • It got squished! What got squished?

  • Oh, that's ok. Is that the omiage that you got? Is that the food?

  • That's cool. Yay, we'll have to try it later.

  • Is that what you got Anna?

  • Five colors? Yes, five colors. A five color pen!

  • Oh, very nice.

  • And...

  • This is a magnet. No! I want to show it! Oh, very cool.

  • Oh, you got one too? Let me see Becca.

  • They got the same one.

  • Oh, it's so pretty. We accidentally got the same one.

  • Did you? Did you guys know that? No.

  • You didn't! How fun! And then a handkerchief, see this one? How cute!

  • What special memories.

  • Now this.

  • Oh, are those the monkeys you got? Can you hold them up? Let me see. Joshua, I need my phone.

  • Joshua. What?

  • You just did something that I thought was so amazing, I wanted to get it on camera.

  • Is it the mega ground pound? Yea.

  • Ok, so, Joshua is going to take out all of these gumbas at one time.

  • Ok. Let's see you do it.

  • 3, 2, 1.

  • Dude! That's amazing.

  • It's pretty entertaining just watching Joshua play Super Mario and Zelda. He's phenomenal with these games.
