  • it's got cacciatora sausage we're gonna have some  ham and we're cooking everything on a dutch oven

  • here and also we're gonna be making tacos which  i'm very excited about wow this is gonna be

  • we had it for three hours marinating he's got  orange juice he's got lemon juice he's got uh

  • cilantro he's got garlic he's got salt pepper  he's got cumin i mean a whole bunch of things

  • now we're going to cook it on the grill and this  is going to be what we use for the filling of

  • the tacos we got a couple of jalapenos there  they're going on the grill okay see that's it

  • that is enough to feed an army yeah

  • huh that's amazing is that  something a piece of art or what

  • it is taco time these tacos are legendary i've  already had one so i'm going to show you how

  • it's done here grab a couple slices of meat plop  it right down like that some cilantro guacamole

  • it's probably the best tacos i've ever had

  • wow they look very juicy it's running down your  hands it's a juice fast it's coming from the meat

  • i could have 10 of these and be done for the day  my dad has a slightly different technique double

  • tortilla oh that one's loaded look at that is that  a taco or what that meat is so tender it's amazing

  • there you go something well gracias it's  called tropical sunshine no tequila sunrise

  • so i'm trying a tequila sunrise it has of  course tequila grenadine and orange juice

  • nice and sweet you can have two or three  of these and then just pass out for the day

  • okay who made the drinks you did huh yeah the  bar man next to the bar man daniel used to be

  • a bartender when he was 18 years old andwas living in spain waiting for my canadian

  • visa as immigrant to come over here andwas working for a chain of uh discotheques

  • the most famous in spain and maybe around the  world it is called pacha i was working in the

  • one they had in a place called leore de mar and  after that they wanted me to go to work in ibiza

  • that was the flagship of all the discotheque  empire of this uh of this company right

  • but then my visa came to come to canada  as a landed immigrant and i just had to

  • leave spain and the beaches and the disco  and the nightlife and my bartending skills

  • this is the tequila sunrise and the name is  because you see that it looks like the sunrise

  • you know in the morning when the sun is coming  up and in some areas is darker red and some other

  • areas it's a little bit yellowy kind of orangey  so that's that's the name of the dream salute

  • okay well welcome to the office this is wherehave been spending a lot of time lately sam and i

  • have separate offices in separate rooms because  otherwise there's just too much chatter and we

  • don't get a lot of editing done so yeah this is  where i'm working i've set up a little office

  • in the bedroom and really we've been trying to  balance travel and work with the ongoing lockdowns

  • and stay at home orders so as you may have  seen on the channel we went on some really fun

  • local getaways we filmed some tiny houses recently  that was all while we could travel and now that we

  • can't we're at home just editing our footage and  we've got plenty to keep us busy and speaking of

  • work i wanted to thank this week's video sponsor  which is soundcore by anchor we've been working

  • with them for a few months now testing out  different products and they recently sent

  • me something new these are their life q35 noise  canceling headphones which just came out on the

  • market and yeah i've been using them for my video  editing so first of all i wanted to talk about

  • the memory foam which makes these headphones super  comfortable to wear you have the memory foam here

  • on the ear cup and also on top on the headband so  these headphones offer 60 hours of play time when

  • you use them in standard mode or 40 hours of play  time when you use them in active noise cancelling

  • mode they also have ldap coding technology  from sony that enables the transmission of high

  • resolution audio even over bluetooth connection  so that means that you get cd quality sound yet

  • you're only paying a third of the price of many of  their competitors the headphones also have wearing

  • detection so that means once you remove them  they will actually pause and when you put them

  • back on it'll resume playback so a big thank  you to soundcore for sponsoring this video

  • and now let's get back to the editing hello am  i on the confessional chair yeah tell us what's

  • up actually i'm you're gonna be cutting my hair  yes we've developed a bit of a new routine partly

  • out of necessity to be honest the barber shops  were closed for a long time and my hair grows

  • super quickly but yeah i've been letting you  cut my hair now for the last five or six times

  • you have been getting better for sure why thank  you you're gonna show us uh your skills my skills

  • your skills are you feeling confident in my skill  well you haven't cut me yet so so far so good and

  • we've been doing this so often that actually we  even ordered a i ordered a cape so we don't get

  • my hair my fur all over the place so put it on  and i guess we'll get started huh good pattern

  • peacock hair wolverine hair like up to here but  this is the before i've got a oh just my cape came

  • off i've got a decent sized beard and my hair it's  getting pretty long so i want a short summer cut

  • winter is ending we're officially in spring  and summer's just around the corner so for

  • me it's short in the summer wolveriney  in the winter i'm gonna miss your curls

  • yeah well my hair goes back fast so you  know if we don't cut it for another six

  • to eight weeks it'll be right back where it is  right now oh my gosh it could be my final view

  • i think this is honestly my fifth time

  • yeah doing this you know what you've  you've done a good good enough job that

  • the last time we were visiting my parents in  fredericton my dad requested a haircut from you

  • and my mom wasn't impressed by the request she's  like she thought it was a bit shameless but you

  • did it anyways i'm the jeffrey family here  you're the jeffrey barber the jeffrey manning

  • no you know you've actually gotten faster at doing  it too well thank you remember the first time it

  • took like a half an hour i was like oh my gosh  i almost wanted i almost wanted to do it myself

  • at that point the first time your head got shaved  because he was not patient so what do you think is

  • the key to giving a decent haircut for a guy using  using the youtube tutorials okay that's the trick

  • you learned blending recently right yeah that was  the skill this is so nice i i kind of prefer not

  • to have a wet shave like it's just kind of nice to  have a little bit of hair still left also i wish

  • i could get a haircut right now i've been waiting  for a haircut like my last one was 10 months ago

  • and yeah but at least you have straight hair  your hair doesn't grow like a mushroom cloud

  • i know but it's getting like scraggly is  that a word yes well that's what i look like

  • it's what i need okay head straight okay socan work with the curvature that was one of the

  • tips i learned from youtube yeah you guys  you can learn so much from youtube seriously

  • you can basically learn how to do anything  on youtube there are experts for everything

  • on youtube fixing your car do it yourself a cloth  toy repairs yeah yeah there's so many times where

  • we've been traveling and we didn't even know  how to use a certain type of laundry machine

  • because of the language and we like google  how to use the laundry machine in japan

  • we're looking up like you remember that yeah yeah

  • hi brand new man over here brand new man i like it  nice and short you did a good job did i i think so

  • i mean i gotta you left a bit more of the mustache  and the beard but i think you did that purposely

  • he said let's see the other side okay blend  okay yeah i think you did a pretty good job

  • i mean there's a lot of hair on the ground  so something was accomplished for here

  • i'm happy with it okay let me flip the screen  for you wanna fix your hair a bit shake it up

  • how does that look this isquarantine haircut guys okay

  • i'm trying my best over here we have  any social occasions to go to so

  • all righty guys we are taking you out today on  a little local adventure so that means we're

  • basically back to our favorite restaurant  here right yes it's fall fall one two three

  • authentic vietnamese restaurant yeah boy is  it ever good it really is and you know what

  • we've really been trying to support our local  restaurants during this pandemic yeah and this

  • place and then the sushi place tokumaki sushi  are probably like the ones we frequent the most

  • yeah it's a top two we also grabbed sushi from  the grocery store oceans that you know from

  • the supermarket yeah they've got good stuff so  basically when we when we eat out we tend to have

  • asian food because we have a lot of we have a lot  of barbecue at home we have peruvian and argentine

  • food we have pastas sometimes i'll go go forpizza but what we're usually really craving is

  • asian yes yeah vietnamese korean japanese yeah so  we've already placed our order they told us it's

  • going to be about 15 minutes so we're just waiting  in the car and then we'll go pick it up so i think

  • we're just gonna eat it here in the car and then  we're gonna take you on a little hiking adventure

  • all right guys the food is here i'm gonna tie my  hair back because this is a whole process gosh

  • what an exciting moment eating noodles in a cartreat what a treat ooh so first the spring rolls

  • oh i almost dropped it oh my gosh that wasclose call fried spring rolls yeah these are

  • chicken ones these are the chicken ones oh i will  try one of those those are really really good all

  • right let's dig in and we got chopsticks this time  yeah plastic forks which is nice although yeah

  • this is finger food these are like freshly fried  they are hot hot crispy i got a delicious pad thai

  • with shrimp it looks amazing i'll show you  what i got what i have oh wow mine's heavy

  • beef noodles so while we eat in the car i thought  a fun topic for discussion could be our potential

  • summer travels in ontario yeah i feel like we've  gone through a lot of scenarios first we thought

  • we might be able to do stuff across canada yeah  the third wave has hit canada pretty hard though

  • unfortunately especially here in ontario so we may  just be looking at doing province wide travel in a

  • month or two i mean the vaccine is being rolled  out really fast last time i checked we were

  • getting closer to 30 for people who had the first  first dose the first job but okay says i've gone

  • down a bit lately yeah ontario is looking more  like like the place we're gonna be exclusively

  • focusing in on yeah and we've got like four  different trip ideas that we've been toying around

  • with so we're going to tell them to you and maybe  you guys can tell us what you're most interested

  • in seeing on the channel yeah how about that cool  so one that we've been talking about since last

  • summer is actually manitoulin island and that's  the largest island on a freshwater lake yeah and

  • there's like a lake within the island yeah there's  lakes on this island it's so big yeah so we'd love

  • to drive up there i think it's maybe like four and  a half hours from where we live the ferry crossing

  • it's not that long of a ferry though is it um  no and it's pet friendly i think so yes i think

  • it might be allowed to come yeah and in the  summer time they have powwows so maybe we

  • might be able to time that accordingly so that's  option one yeah option one and then you had also

  • been talking about heading up north we can go as  far as hudson bay there's an adventure train route

  • oh those are two different things okay all right  guys if we went to hudson bay we'd probably drive

  • up there that'd be quite difficult or there's a  bus yeah a very long bus like a full day on a bus

  • but once you get there they have nature lodges  and you can experience wildlife so that would

  • be cool making it up to hudson bay yeah another  option is the via rail adventure route that they

  • have in ontario yes and that runs from sudbury  to white river and it's meant to be a really

  • scenic journey and again just lots of wildlife  so that's option three and last but not least

  • you guys we've talked about maybe even rentingcamper van for a while yeah like an hour road an

  • rv yeah yeah my dad feels confident driving  one of those so we thought we could get one

  • for a couple of days maybe like three four  days and go to algonquin park yeah there's

  • also the option of doing cabin stays more tiny  houses and if things really improved a lot
