  • Hello, everybody.

  • Welcome to Tokyo creative play today we're gonna be doing another language comparison video.

  • So we're going to introduce ourselves.

  • My name's Emma.

  • I'm from Australia and I speak English and I must say, Let's say their militia.

  • Then how you need so I can check up Dylan Bassem like Hello, influenza.

  • You can have Australia's conduit when you kind of Deutsche Bank and this is making perfect.

  • So we have done a video like this before.

  • And thank you so much for all the feedback and for like in that video.

  • So we're back for round two, comparing English Japanese relations and German.

  • So shall we get started?

  • Yeah.

  • Okay, here we go.

  • So the first topic we're going to be doing is things related to Japanese culture.

  • So we'll start with green tea.

  • Yeah, we call it just everything.

  • Green tea.

  • We called Macha or Santa.

  • It's all just green tea, but there's so many different kinds of green tea.

  • Japanese.

  • Think that's green?

  • Yeah.

  • Literal green tea.

  • Earthquake, like Oh, yeah.

  • Gangster.

  • Yeah, I think.

  • Yeah.

  • Is there another level of that?

  • Smaller like a You know, you like hierarchy system because, uh, well, that was your previous job experience.

  • That's why I'm like, Yeah, yeah, Yeah.

  • Well, in the way we say gangster or something, that sounds like something either works.

  • Yeah.

  • Okay.

  • I think Germans just gangster.

  • Okay.

  • Mount Fuji.

  • Sorry.

  • Thank you.

  • Yes.

  • And then Fujiyama Japanese.

  • Yeah.

  • I don't know how that came about, but they just added, like, Yeah.

  • So I think they misread the kanji and then just made it instead of the sun, like, Wow, German.

  • Wow.

  • Okay, when I first started learning Japanese, I thought that it was like, Son is and it's like it's like it's a person.

  • It's a sign of respect.

  • Yeah, Hot spring.

  • It's long, right?

  • So it's like the pool is water from our previous video.

  • Yeah.

  • Do you have a little hot springs?

  • And we have a few, but we don't really go in naked.

  • Just kind of Oh, wait, That's it?

  • Uh huh.

  • And then Germany's high so high.

  • You have the culture.

  • I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think so.

  • Tea ceremony?

  • That's right.

  • Yeah.

  • Th You know, Miss drink.

  • What's like a famous T?

  • By the way in Malaysia?

  • A.

  • So it's the one where people pull.

  • And then there's a lot of foam or where they pull it up.

  • And it's just like, yeah, and then you do it a few times.

  • Yeah, they have competition kind of thing.

  • They have, like, a few glasses, and then they do that, and then they start turning around and we're gonna put the clip down there, uh, to not spill to mix it.

  • And also to kind of like the temperature.

  • Yeah, well, we'll try as well in India.

  • I think they do that.

  • I ran out of ice the other day when I was making bubble tea, and so I had two cups.

  • Oh, we should do that.

  • Definitely.

  • What?

  • You're literally tea ceremony.

  • The next topic is animals and animal sounds.

  • We'll start with elephant.

  • Oh, gotcha.

  • Um, so I was like, What's the same?

  • No.

  • Elephant also sounded kind of German way lion, Sexy.

  • Next.

  • I was like, I don't know, we don't have girls moving, moving, moving.

  • So all over Canada moving.

  • So a previous one is lying, and then you just have moving just the all animals saying Please say you'll find out chicken is a shiver.

  • Well, cat is really like?

  • Like you know.

  • What about dark?

  • Stop it.

  • A This is a horse sound.

  • What?

  • I have to make the sound.

  • Here we go.

  • Oh, wait.

  • I think it's a way Google this one.

  • I think so.

  • Mouse in the car is like, next we have a sheep which goes Bob.

  • So in English you guys cock a doodle Ooh, ooh oh And malaria we say, Oh, and then we say, Okay, the next topic we're going to do is called false friends.

  • So in language, the words are kind of interesting.

  • I can't really explain it best with an example.

  • So say, in German, there's the word Chef, which I think would mean chef in English like chef, cooking, Chef, but actually means boss so false friends is kind of words that means something else in a different language.

  • But it's just a completely different meaning.
