E just checked into La Quinta Inn and Fort Stockton.

This is actually a new looking toe in in Fort Stockton.

And that's one of the reasons why I chose to stay at this place.

Um, last time I was in Fort Stockton, I stayed at best Western Plus, and that was a great hotel, too.

But I just want to try out a different hotel in the area.

Since I was here again on, um, yeah, I love brand new hotels, and so does Kuma.

So decide to check it out.

And so far, the first impressions have been great.

Um, they the building looks really nice.

Everything that's really modern and clean, um, floors in the room Couldn't another really like I don't know if I would like it, either.

I usually like wooden floors or carpet, but it's kind of like these, um, ceramic cement tiles.

So I don't really like that because I don't get like a home Comfortable feeling.

I think there's two looking tha ends imports, Doctor.

So this Latina in is called La Quinta Inn and suites by Wyndham Fort Stockton, North east.

So this is the new looking thio in in Fort Stockton.

And it was I believe it opened in October 2020 or sometime in late 2020.

And I am here in January 2021.

So it's only been open for a few months.

Um, yeah.

I'm really excited to stay here on Lee staying here for one night because it's a stopover.

I'm doing a road trip from California.

Florida was Kuma, and I'm finding all the dog friendly hotel on the way.

And this was one of them.

I thought there was no pet peeves for Latina in I think usually there is no Pepys, but for this one, it was $20 and I believe because it's new, they're trying in $20 but yeah, we are still isn't bad.

All right, well, let me give you a tour of this room.

Start with the beds here.

That looks pretty neat on then.

Here is middle section between the two queen size bed.

I always I try to get two queen size beds every time I'm traveling with Kuma.

Just I like to have an extra bed to lay stuff on.

And then this bed is like just for sleeping.

Like I don't like anything else Except for Kuma.

My coma in the middle.

They have four plugs, four USB ports, and okay, more plugs and USB ports on this alarm clock.

So you have a total of six outlets and six USB ports.

Nothing under there.

A phone, A memo pattern of pet.

I haven't seen this in a while in hotel rooms.

Um, some more artwork over here.

I like this, uh, desk slash, uh, console set up here.

Um, you know, this entire area could be used as a work desk corporate you to eat at, um, fairly large TV.

And I guess this is a drawer to just play some of your stuff and if you want.

And then I also like this area here where you can just let your luggage and lay out your suitcase.

I like those instead of the luggage racks because they're always kind of a pain.

Um, I also wanted to note that send some a Wyndham Rewards member.

I got this gift bag and it came with water.

Can always use a bottle of water and okay.

Oh, these Belvita cookie sandwich biscuit sandwiches.

I actually do like thes.

And, um, what a good choice.

A plastic cup.

This is like a really nice that.

What else does it do?

Oh, I like these two.

Like the fruit gummies.

Nice.

Oh, really?

Well done.

Uh, again, There's some more outlets, more USB ports, more outlets over here, So, yeah, you don't have to worry about outlets at this hotel.

Yes, this is a bite here.

Oh, yeah.

Okay, so if you switch that you get extra lighting for your work area.

Also had a note here on the bed that said ready for you.

I've personally cleaned and prepared this room for you from top to bottom.

I hope you enjoy your stay with this full length mirror in the hallway and then across from that is the closet eso.

There's looks like an extra blanket about six hangers on and an iron and ironing board.

Three decent closet space.

Five.

Put my luggage in here and coats, and this is the entryway.

And on the side, where on the corner is a microwave?

A coffee machine with, uh, dark roast coffee.

It looks like it's just coffee.

I don't see any tease, but if you probably ask them for T The Hobbit, I like this good size fridge here.

It's like a small medium fridge, but the freezer portion is up right here, and then you have the bottom fridge portion, so that was nice.

Bathroom is pretty spacious.

I do like their mirror here.

The lighting is really nice.

Candy really likes.

That was always have to point out what Candy likes in the bathroom because she's like an expert when it comes to batters.

For whatever reason, they provide plenty of towels like three sets of everything.

So there's the hand towel, your washcloth, and then down here is for bath towels.

There's your hair dryer and then extra toilet paper also like it when they do pull these e think it's a nice touch when they do that, When they pulled it into a triangle for toiletries, they have Pantene, Pantene shampoo, conditioner and lotion and a makeup remover.

Always appreciate makeup removers.

Then over here, another washcloth and bar of soap, Um bathmat.

A shower.

Charlotte's pretty nice.

Oh yeah, thes air like brand New.

You could tell it's so white and clean.

Yes, so shiny.

So that was the room tour.

And as I mentioned, first impressions were great.

I do like that.

It's a pet friendly hotel, fairly low price on the nightly pet fees.

And they do have a coffee available 24 7 in the lobby that I saw the last part of coffee make it at seven PM and there's like a dining area there, but I'm not sure if they're using it because of the pandemic.

The lobby area looks really nice.

There's that pet relief area they have like a fenced in dog area.

It's kind of small, but at least they have it for them.

I also wanted to note that I did request to have the highest floor and away a room away from the elevators Because I don't want human to hear any noise.

Because when she hears noise that sometimes she barks obsessively, she's gotten better.

But, you know, she's a guard dog, so she tends thio bar with whatever noise she hears nearby.

To protect me, Of course.

Um, but yeah.

So that's why I request the highest floor.

So there's no noise above us and away from the elevators so that we don't hear the elevator opening up and people walking and talking all the time, and, yeah, they had a room prepared for us, and that gave me what I wanted.

So I got room four or five.

And you know, the views are never anything.

But that doesn't really matter to me.

I just want a quiet room, So thank you.

All right, well, I think I'm gonna go explore Fort Stockton a little bit.

Um, it's a historic place where they have ah, historic fort site and then a historic downtown and other historic things to look at around here so I want to check it out with Puma.

I'm not sure how much I could check out with her, but we'll see.
