  • both of those guys.

  • What they shown the message they sent LeBron was We are willing to do what it takes to be great, not just put up numbers, but to try toe win a championship.

  • That's the message.

  • Yeah, and listen, I'm not disagreeing with that, right, because I'm a strongly I'm a strong believer.

  • Has been a former champion that you have to get your role players involved because they help you win playoff Siri's.

  • And also, when you get your role players involved offensively, then they actually want to play defense.

  • That's why the Brooklyn Nets defense have taken a tremendous leap.

  • But what I'm gonna say this I have yet to see it.

  • What?

  • The Big three on the court?

  • Yes, we're seeing that with James Harden and Kyrie Irving on the court.

  • But what happens when Kevin Durant get back in the mix?

  • We don't see that same type of ball movement.

  • So until I see that once the Big three is back together and the ball is skipping and hopping, then I were you.

  • Whoa, hold it wo k k p Big perk.

  • I mean, you have just I mean, I'm almost like Fred Sanford about toe.

  • Have a heart attack Here.

  • You are a man.

  • That is you Are you are you are Martin.

  • You will watch him out.

  • Be respectful.

  • Here's the deal.

  • You as playing as playing with K.

  • D.

  • You trying to tell me that you worried about ball movement once candy comes back?

  • No, no, I'm not.

  • I'm telling you, with the sample size that we saw that we have seen with the Big Three, they have not been moving the ball when they've been together.

  • When you look at their numbers and you look at that shot attempts along with role players with the Big Three when they have played together, it has not been the same ball movement.

  • I'm not saying that is not that they're not capable of doing it.

  • And I'm also not saying that Kevin Durant is not a guy that is unselfishly willing to give up the ball.

  • He is right.

  • He's a guy that could take.

  • They could have 30 points on 16 shots because he's just that damn good.

  • I'm telling you, in this small sample size that we have been witnessing yet I'm not saying that is not going to happen and I'm gonna say this.

  • James Harden needs to get a lot of credit because he's the one that has set the tone for this Brooklyn Nets team for his ball movement and making other guys around them better and unselfishly willing to get Joe Harris and Jeff Green and everybody else involved.

  • So I'm not saying it can happen.

  • I just said we haven't seen it happen in this small sample size sleeping.

  • There's no doubt that Harden has been spectacular in exactly the way you're describing.

  • He's been great from Day one.

  • He rolled out of bed fat and out of shape, showed up in Brooklyn and gave him 30 point triple doubles in wins with Like, He's been spectacular and he's made the whole thing work.

  • But the thing about it is the role players on the Nets like we knew that Joe Harris could shoot the lights out already.

  • We already knew that about Joe Harris.

  • We knew, for example, Jeff Green was probably never really the wing player we thought he could be, but you playing it before, but he could do a lot there.

  • We knew that they had some pieces that could work.

  • We know that Kevin Durant, when he gets back they get role isn't be the greatest offense effort.

  • But to make it all work, Kyrie and Harden had to get along.

  • They had to share a backcourt productively.

  • And by the way, when Kyrie was first reintroduced to the team, they had to figure it out a little bit.

  • It looks like they have, and the reason they have, because the attitude of both guys, they are willing to be great.

  • They're not.

  • They put their egos aside in the short term.

  • Who's gonna get this?

  • Who's going to get that?

  • And they're working to be great, And that was the whole question.

  • Could those to figure it out?

  • The answer looks very good right now.

  • It looks very good, but we also got to take into consideration one of the other reasons.

  • It looks very good.

  • It ain't just because of them is because of those other players that we mentioned and these guys that can make shots.

  • Jeff Green can make shots Joe have is definitely could make shots.

  • Landry shaman can make shots, and so when you've got guys that can shoot from the perimeter, the Brooklyn Nets started out the game going small.

  • They started out the game going small.

  • You had Jeff Green at center.

  • You have five guys on the floor who could all shoot threes.

  • You couldn't get anybody?

  • Not now.

  • Check this out.

  • Now.

  • Not only that, then you trend now, you.

  • Now you juxtapose that to the Los Angeles Lakers.

  • What do you have there?

  • You got a guy in contagious Caldwell Pope who I like, and I wish you nothing but the best for his seven game stretch right now has been God awful.

  • He hasn't scored in double digits once in the last seven games.

  • And by the way, K, c p you sat up there and you literally have shot four for 21 from three point range in the last seven games.

  • Four for 21.

  • That ain't gonna cut it.

  • So LeBron James and those boys need help.

  • Kyrie James Harden and Kevin Durant arguably wouldn't need that much help but getting it from other people, but where it needs the help and it ain't getting it, but it's not coincidental.

  • They're getting the help because of the gravity of all three of those players because they explained earlier anywhere, That's what you said earlier.

  • That's what I said earlier.

  • We heard your right, so that's not coincidence.

  • When you're saying they're getting the help from, if you put Casey those guys, he went on a shooting slump.

  • Right now, you need to you need if you're LeBron and the Lakers.

  • If anybody's going against Brooklyn, you've got to be able to make shots.

  • Well, I can't say this about I can't say this real quick about KCP when it matters the most.

  • And this girl's last year in the book, he did elevate this game and sometimes listen.

  • Sometimes when you're a champion and you're on the championship team, you do get bored with the process and you do have those lapses.

  • I would have loved to see Dennis through the last night, too.

  • By the way, thanks for watching ESPN on YouTube for live streaming sports and premium content.
