your pronunciation question of the week today's question um is about

The comparative

four words fight flight kick and click but the bigger question is how

do i pronounce l blends and i've gotten several

questions about that so we're going to talk about l blends

with these four words today all right so we have

fight flight kick and click so how do you say those l

blends  if you've been watching my channel for a

while you know that the l is made with the tip of your tongue behind your

top front teeth but the mistake i hear with these l

blends is that often times people will add a second

syllable because they add a vowel between and

instead of flight and click so how am i doing this

what i'm doing is i am focusing on sound number one and then i am thinking

position and then just moving my tongue for the l

sound so for the fl ffff your mouth is going to be slightly open

you're kind of gently biting the inside or the outside of that

bottom lip air is moving out of my mouth ffff

then what i'm going to do is keep my mouth in that same spot

and just try to move your tongue up to the back of the top front teeth

yes your mouth will open probably a little bit more for this one

but not very much let's try that fl fl fl you can see my tongue moving

fl fl fl and then you end with the rest of the

for click and the k get your mouth ready for  that k

sound your mouth is open tip of the tongue is low in the mouth and the back

is pulled up and then you're going to think about

keeping your mouth there not moving it anymore

and then just touching the tip of the tongue to the back of the top front

teeth so again think about just moving your tongue
