hey everyone Jennifer from Tarle Speech with your two for Tuesday so two for
Tuesday we work on homophones are words that are spelled differently but
pronounced the same and today I have a bonus for you it's three for Tuesday all
our words are or what we use to list alternatives ore the metal and oar a blade
to propel a boat to say these words correctly we are going to have two
sounds that we say so quickly that it sounds like one sound we're not gonna
say oh er we are going to say or how do you do that what you're going to do first is
you're going to pucker your lips for that o the long o sound and then we're
going to move to the er and to do this I want you to think of a few things
think of square tense lips and when you think of square tense lips that's going
to help you get your tongue in the right spot for that er so again we're gonna move
from ooo-errr to square lips so pucker to square or or or and if you are asking what is
happening with my tongue what I'm doing is I make my r with the tip of my
tongue pointed down away from my top front teeth to the bottom of the mouth
so that's where my tongue starts for that o sound when my lips are puckered
there is an option to make the R sound with your tongue flipped back that is
fine just easiest if you get your tongue in the position for that er sound and
then pucker your lips to start it okay so let's put it all together or ore oar or
ore oar or and let's give it a try in a sentence should we use the
oar made of plastic or ore give it a try people are going to notice the
difference if you found this helpful please give us a like and a share and
