John, can you take us through what you've been through in terms of dealing with the migraine and just trying to get back out there and playing?

Well, Yeah.

I've been doing it for years.

It ain't nothing new.

Um, you just take a day off and try to get some sleep and take some medicine that the doctor is giving me, you know, stay hydrated as much as possible.

So I came in today was fun then that that was not a problem.

The reason why the game was bad as it was.

But I was fine coming to the game today, Johnny.

You surprised that you didn't make you didn't make a run t tryto really make it a game?

Uh, to be honest, I mean, with a team like that, that's a championship team.

You know what I mean?

Just in our reality, when they scored do anything, they all stand up there cheering for each other you know, I mean, so that's what those great teams do.

We want those team that's still trying to find companies trying to find what we are, what our identity, our So when you deal with that is an aspect.

We don't even stand up.

Sometimes when God scored due to do the little things, and when that happens, it trickles down from 1 to 15 to kind of get hurt a team.

And when we play, the good teams like the Lakers, all those teams, that's a playoff teams.

We tend to struggle.

We play the way we play at times.

When we play teams that's not as good.

And those bad teams where I've been on the bad team before, you kind of get away with anything.

Jonathan Pagan John James said he didn't think the chemistry and talent wise it was clear he didn't think it could be fixed.

Do you think it can be fixed and can it be fixed?

If he doesn't think it can be, I started to his only be I mean, I can't what he thinks about the team and what we feel like we are, Um I know how much hard work.

These guys have put into this training campaign, going through preseason and work hard to try to get better every day.

I know how much work I have put into it the last two years to get back and compete at a high level, and all I can control is what I think I can do is it is a leader, a za basketball player that go out there and give 100% effort and try to win basketball games and the way we're starting off.

This is not the way we wanted to go.

And I feel like we kind of got set back by when we had a lot of guys like me, the markets Eric Gordon Mason had to miss the first two games of the season.

Eso that.

That's a different thing we have to deal with.

But we all knew coming into this with the Kobe 19 going on is gonna be certain protocols and healthy protocols and God's testing positive where you're gonna have to rotate your starting line up with your rotation at times.

And you kind of feel back a little bit.

Do you think the chemistry and this team could be fixed.

What's the chemistry outside of the core at this point?

And do you feel like not all the players in the team are in the same page?

Is this just some miscommunication through the season or is something more than that?

It's a lot of basketball to be played, so we can't grow it down.

On what I think, the three and 63 and having something like that three and six like we only play nine games.

You can't drill down on that, you know?

I mean, it's a lot of basketball to be played.

Um, like I said, there's gonna be things where things get set off a little bit, you know?

I mean, what guys Mission games or mission?

Practicing doing certain things like that for any day.

A lot of guys here want to compete at a high level.

And, uh, like I told everybody tonight, I told you guys before when the 13 15 guys all on the same page and they commit, they know they roll.

They know what they wanna do.

They know what they want to get out of this.

That's the wind, you all will be fine.

But when you have certain guys in the mix that don't wanna buy in, all this one is gonna be hard to do anything special, Do anything good is a basketball team.

I've been on those teams.

My lamb has been the lead.

I've been on teams like that my first five years where it was all about me, me, me, me, not about the team and it hurts and it brings everybody down so we could get all on the same page.

We could be something good here, and we can't do it down because it's only been nine games like Come on, man, you wanna jump off the cliff off the nine games, a lot of basketball still be played.

John, Do you feel like James has given this group of chance?

He's going out there competing.

That's one thing I could say.

You go out there and play, he's playing.

He's coming to practice every day.

He's showing up as a professional since the days guy here, since he has committed itself to be here.

So that's all I could do along outside of that you have.

As James that question.

But when he's with us, I feel like he's doing what he want to doing, what he has to do to try to help us win.

Michael Shapiro, John, What do you think are the biggest shortcomings with this team right now?

And, you know, have you seen any signs of optimism through these first nine games?

But the most important thing is playing, winning basketball and commit our defensive end.

That is the biggest problem with anything like, it's a lot of talent on this team.

You could score the basketball.

It's about Can you defend, like, look that way look like a UTI today?

They just one person from Maryland, one person from North Carolina, one person from South Carolina, one purse from L.

A and we just meet up every weekend, just go play basketball.

That's what we look like in a couple of games to see them, just to be honest, and you're never gonna win like that.

The last question I like compa Johnny John, You like you like you mentioned.

It's only been nine games.

There's a lot of basketball to be played, but for right now, how How do you assess the partnership between you and James on the court being able to play off of each other?

Uh, I think it's been a little rocky.

Came lie about that.

I mean, I don't think it's been the best it could be.
