  • The products founder Dr Amy Baxter was asking the sharks for $500,000 in return for 5%.

  • She was turned down for a variety of reasons, including her high valuation and shoddy sale strategy.

  • Baxter was offered 500,000 for 20% but she declined much to the disappointment of Barbara, who called it an arrogant move.

  • So Mark, maybe use that diamond symbol so that those notes go to your startup pitch folder inside of Google docks.

  • So when you mark that those notes go right to your assistance email, you simply write in the notebook and then transfer the notes to the cloud using the accompanying app.

  • The notes can then be erased with a damp cloth, allowing you to reuse the templates over and over again, doing pretty well.

  • We've sold about 75,000 of these way selling the Martians, despite a strong Kickstarter campaign, The Rocket Book and it's Founders were turned down by the sharks.

  • Of course, we would have loved to work with the sharks and security deal with them, But it's not always a fit, and that's quite all right.

  • Back in Season six, Melissa Butler and Roscoe's Perez entered the shark tank with their line of vegan liquid matte lipstick called the Lip Bar.

  • The lip bar comes in dozens of different shades and is both vegan and cruelty free.

  • So you guys are actually a lipstick line, not a bar like hair bar were a lipstick line, But we're actually thematic, so all of the lipsticks are named after popular cocktails because we're fun.

  • We're young, we're free, and we want to encompass the essence of a bar.

  • The lipsticks themselves are made from Shea Butter, Avocado Oil and HoJo Bataoil.

  • The problem is that competition in the makeup game is fierce.

  • The chances that this is a business are practically zero because you can't get share.

  • If anybody thought you could sell purple, agreeing lipstick, they do it.

  • They already have the shelf space.

  • None of the shark seemed particularly enthused with the idea, with Robert hating the logo mark criticizing the branding, and both Laurie and Damon, stating that the makeup market is over saturated.

  • The lit bar has proved successful on Amazon, with each $13 stick earning very strong ratings and wide commendation number 20 shoes.

  • It often seems like humanity has mastered the art and technology of the shoe.

  • But then something else comes along and challenges that perception.

  • Many balked at the high evaluation, while the founders declined.

  • Kevin's offer of $400,000 for 50% that's on offer were not willing to take it this time.

  • To distinguish itself is different from what else is out there on the market for the higher price point.

  • And so for that reason, I'm None of the shark seemed particularly interested, and everyone dropped out for their own personal reasons.
