  • we are in week five of this lock down, and it is April 15th, 2020.

  • The numbers are still growing.

  • The US now has over 600,000 cases of the virus, and New York is still the epicenter and has over 200,000 cases.

  • But they are seeing a slowdown, so they're seeing the curve flattened a bit, which is great news, but they don't wanna be overly optimistic.

  • I mean, we still need to be on this lock down to contain this thing, but there is, like, a little bit a little sign of hope.

  • Florida right now is number eight on the list of all the U.

  • S.

  • States, and they have over 20,000 cases In just a couple of days ago.

  • Some of the European countries, um, the hard head ones, like Spain and Italy, started opening up some of their businesses.

  • So they're easing up on the lock down now.

  • And so people are skeptical that it's too early of ah, release on the lock down.

  • But I guess this will be a test to see if you know if we're gonna be able to do that in the US to you know, ease up on all the lockdowns because the economy is just terrible.

  • Right now, so many people have lost their jobs even more from last week.

  • So right now there's over 16 million people and there's probably more than that because a lot of people can't even get through to the system because they're just so overloaded with people being out of jobs right now that they can't handle it.

  • I'm still doing okay here with Kuma.

  • We're just kind of doing our everyday thing.

  • I think our routine every day is you know, I take her for a walk.

  • I think I take are made three or four times out for a walk, maybe sometimes five times a day.

  • She doesn't like that, though I'm sure he likes to go out maybe four times, tops.

  • And you know, I do my usual exercises also what I'm really into that I just started last week.

  • It's stocks.

  • So, thanks to my friend Henry, who got me into this and gave me a crash course on how it all works, I've always been interested in doing stocks, but just didn't know too much about it.

  • So, you know, I know, I always had to learn about it, to start doing anything with it before wasting my money away.

  • Eso he gave me this crash course and, you know, started off with Robin Hood, which is a super easy, user friendly app, and I start off with that.

  • And after I got that lesson and started doing a little bit more research on it, I was hooked.

  • And now it's like I think about it.

  • Stocks.

  • I'm glad I finally started doing this.

  • I've always wanted to get into it.

  • And now I finally accomplished that goal, went to River Walk again this weekend, and again nobody was wearing masks.

  • I think maybe I saw one or two people wearing masks.

  • I feel like you know, people when they go outside, they feel like they don't need to wear a mask.

  • But I think you know you should just wear a mask anywhere you go when I go to grocery stores, though, there's definitely moral people wearing masks.

  • I would say majority of the people dio also a new sing at grocery stores are directional arrows.

  • I didn't even notice this, so I wasn't following the rules, so I got called out on it.

  • But yeah, there's arrows on which I'll you could go in with your car and I was going the wrong direction.

  • So that's good.

  • So they could minimize, you know, people kind of bumping into each other in the lanes.

  • My new favorite grocery store now is Publix because I don't have to wait in a line.

  • There's not that many people that go there.

  • They pretty much have everything that I need.

  • So that's my go to right now.

  • I tried going to Trader Joe's.

  • That's impossible because they have a line to get in because it's a small grocery store.

  • So you know, people have Thio lineup 6 ft apart from each other, and they're also Onley letting a certain number of people inside the store at a time.

  • So I've tried once at night after work and kind of went near closing time.

  • That didn't work because there was still too many people lined up so I wouldn't have made it in before closing time.

  • And then I also tried to go in the morning when I opened at nine, and that line was even more crazy.

  • So I even know I'm gonna get into Trader Joe's right now.

  • I received an Amber alert a couple of days ago.

  • Um, just kind of notifying us of our curfew.

  • Now, I thought we already had a curfew, but I guess I just really enforced it with this amber alert.

  • And if we do get caught going out past curfew, then we will get hit with a fine or some penalties.

  • So definitely not stay inside.

  • Did not go out past curfew, which I haven't been doing anyway, So I'm fine.

  • Come on.

  • I am fine.

  • Okay, well, that's about it on my end.

  • So let's see what kid he's doing.

  • Actually, have not really been keeping up with the news lately.

  • I've become a little bit immune.

  • Like I see it on the news.

  • I'm like, Oh, yeah, just another day of coronavirus.

  • I've kind of just blocked it out a little bit this week just to give myself a little bit of time away from all the negative news, because it is kind of hard listening to it every day.

  • This week, I actually stood in line for the groceries because I was out of food and I was really hungry for some dinner and I didn't want to take.

  • I don't want to order.

  • Take out.

  • There are signs out that say, You know, take out is available and for me because I'm just trying to save money.

  • I'm trying not to order so much.

  • Take out.

  • And Plus I love cooking, so it's more cost effective if I just buy the groceries myself and cook, you know, cook at home.

  • I started making cooking videos this week.

  • Well, I just made one and not really a cooking video.

  • But I made a video that talked about healthy ingredients that I eat quite often.

  • And there ingredients that are healthy also called like superfoods but the Japanese ingredients.

  • So if you're curious about that, I'm stay tuned because that video will be coming out soon.

  • This week, I I did go to the coffee shop, though, and I ordered a lot to go, and I have not had a store bought latte in a while, and it tasted so good.

  • I don't like my lots that I make at home because it's just not the same.

  • But yeah, that was That was a little treat, and it was funny when I was ordering it there for take out the guy at the check out.

  • He offered some hand sanitizer and he was like, Yeah, this stuff is like gold these days.

  • You know, even I've had customers in here wanting to buy it from me, which I think is crazy, because who knew that someday people would be so desperate that they would want to buy a used a used bottle of hand sanitizer from a store?

  • Um, but that's where we are now.

  • Something exciting for me that happened this week was that my little baby Zoe was featured in Healthy Spot.

  • She was in their newsletter, and we shot that way before the quarantine.

  • So finally it came out, and it was kind of fun to see her when I opened up a email in the newsletter that was a picture of her in the email.

  • She looks so serious, though, because she was focused on the treat that I had in my hand.

  • But that was my little enjoyment.

  • Little piece of enjoyment this week was seeing and Zoe in an email newsletter.

  • Man, it was raining for so long, and finally, finally it stopped raining.

  • Not only was I happy, But Zoe was super happy and the temperatures finally almost hit the high seventies.

  • And I was like, I need to get out and sit in the sun.

  • So I did that this week.

  • I actually put on a bikini and set out in the sun for a little bit, and it was great.

  • I needed that vitamin D.

  • We did install the today this week and it wasn't that heart of a process, even though I can't really say that because I didn't do it.

  • And I did use it once and the and made the toilet like all wet and I don't know.

  • I mean, I these the days in Japan because they're extremely popular and just kind of a normal part of society thereto have these toilets in Japan.

  • So I thought it would be something similar to that, and it Z doesn't work as well, but I don't know, maybe I just need to test it out again.

  • And maybe I'm using it wrong.

  • But as of now, I I'm not very pleased with the way the today is working.

  • One thing I did not do this week was exercise.

  • Oh, man, I I kind of got lazy with all this rain, and it was depressing me.

  • And when the sun finally came out, I didn't want to exercise.

  • I just wanted to go on long walks with.

  • So we we actually went on a trail e don't think we're allowed to go, but no one was on it.

  • So I think next time I'm gonna have to avoid the child, because I noticed later that there waas a signs in that that's not a sign, but, you know, the yellow tape around the area.

  • So I'm like, Oops, I did.

  • And I wasn't allowed to be here.

  • All right, well, I hope everyone to staying safe out there.

  • Eat healthy, keep your immune system up.

  • And if you like this video giving a thumbs up And don't forget to subscribe to our channel until next time.
