  • tough one.

  • I certainly agree with you, Molly.

  • Uh, it is puzzling.

  • I would say this.

  • I think he is very capable.

  • I think he has to stay healthy.

  • I know he has to stay healthy and the pieces around him, I'm not saying they're they're good enough or not.

  • Good enough, but they have to stay healthy and have some consistency.

  • Sometimes I don't even know who he's throwing, too.

  • So, uh, they've just been riddled with injuries.

  • And that, in itself, is, uh, certainly not helped Carson and he's been injured himself.

  • So play a full season with your guys and let's see what you're capable of.

  • No, he's not a franchise quarterback.

  • He's a starting quarterback in the middle of the pack.

  • Guy guys when he says something in a postgame presser, um, he's turned the ball over what now 13, 14 times in Eagles territory.

  • Already, he's not durable.

  • He's toughest.

  • Nails has just bought.

  • He's not.

  • He's not been durable.

  • I'm not questioning his toughness or his heart and and when this guy gets up there and says, Hey, should I give up on a player, try to extend the play?

  • That's a fine line I'll be walking for the rest of my career.

  • That's just the way we do it around here.

  • No, that's he's talking like he's Brett Farve and he's an iron man and he's won a Super Bowl and he's one of the all time greats.

  • His team won a Super Bowl when Nick Foles was the quarterback, and they were dead in the water the next year until Nick Foles took over.

  • When he got hurt and let him on a charge into the playoffs and beat the Bears great defense at Soldier Field.

  • That wasn't Carson.

  • Let's that was Nick Foles.

  • He has not done anything to be talking like that.

  • I think the problem is he is not being held accountable, and I don't think at this moment I would call him a franchise quarterback.

  • Well, you can't call him a franchise quarterback right now because he just he's, too.

  • He's too sporadic and undependable to call a franchise quarterback.

  • But Brett Brett Farve, I'll defer to you in with this question.

  • What do you think the reason for it is?

  • I mean, I understand the durability questions have always been there, but the precipitous drop off that we've witnessed over the last season and a half to two seasons from this guy.

  • Do you put it on him?

  • Is it on coach Doug Peterson?

  • What is it?

  • What do you think?

  • It iss, I think I think he's very capable.

  • I think we all are in agreement that he has the tools.

  • I'm gonna I'm gonna err on the side of lack of consistency.

  • Who are you throwing to?

  • Um, more than anything, they've had the mix and mingle players in and out.

  • Now, that being said, other quarterbacks have managed to handle that very well.

  • So I get the the other side of the argument that you've got to make it work.

  • Uh, you know, I actually thought that they should have kept Nick Foles rather than Carson Wentz.

  • Just based off of production And where they got to, you know, they want to Super Bowl with foals.

  • And that was a little bit surprising, but they're obviously banking on his upside.

  • Um, you know how many more years do you You let it linger before you?

  • You stick with him when you cut bait.

  • That's a question they only can answer.

  • But I know Doug Of course, we were together for a long time.

  • He's a very simple coach.

  • He's gonna put you in the best possible opportunity to succeed.

  • He's not gonna complicate things, so I know it's not Doug.

  • Um, so I'm gonna write it office.

  • Too many injuries right now.

  • I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt.
