  • The only explanation China has offered so far was that this was in line with international practice, which is obviously debatable.

  • We don't know the real reason, but the best guess is probably that they wanted to be absolutely sure that nothing can happen because they would not have wanted to work with the Trump administration, having congratulated Biden thinking that Trump might take this badly.

  • Another reason or maybe a side effect, was that Chinese state media has portrayed this US election as chaotic as unreliable assed democracy as an unreliable, chaotic system on golf course, not congratulating, allowed them toe explore this narrative a few days longer.

  • But here's just this delay.

  • Tell us anything else about future relations between the two countries.

  • It definitely tells us that China is not betting on better relations with the Biden administration.

  • This is off course not how you build the best relationship with the future administration.

  • I would think that Biden would not take this as badly as Trump would have on that It would not maybe have that bad effect from the side off the U.
