Past simple

I found a shirt for seven bucks, a jacket for 10 and a hat for five.

I got them from what people call an op shop on opportunity shop, where clothes are second hand, good and cheaper than in places like here and here and all the money you spend at the shops goes to charity to help people in need.

I find this amazing because where I grew up, we don't do this.

We buy over priced items from billion dollar companies.

We create more waste, and we help rich people get even richer.

That's why I'm learning a lot in Australia, where shops like these are a huge part of the country.

Because here, even the simple act of buying clothes can help your wallet, your looks and best of all, your cooking.
