  • hi everyone Jennifer from Tarle speech with your two for Tuesday doing a new

  • series of classes and I'm going to have two or three words that are pronounced

  • exactly the same they are just spelled differently and have different meanings

  • so this is a super quick way to improve your pronunciation while learning three

  • two or three new vocabulary words today we're starting with three words and our

  • words today are scent a smell sent the past and past participle of to send and

  • cent which is one one-hundredth of a dollar so let's go ahead and take a look

  • at these words so again scent sent and cent and they are all pronounced sent

  • gotta love it right three words one pronunciation so we're gonna start by

  • saying the S sound and to do this the tip of your tongue can either be behind

  • your top teeth or point it a little bit down just don't touch your teeth and

  • keep that air moving out of your mouth next add the short eh sound and your

  • tongue is going to be about in the middle of your mouth relaxed mouth and

  • lips eh nice and short vowel and then we're going to move to the end n

  • do this by touching the tip of your tongue to the back of your top front

  • teeth while the air moves out of your nose

  • then pull your tongue down quickly sent to make sure you say that T sound scent

  • sent cent and let me look at my sentence so I can cheat she sent the
