Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles what I like about this shrine is not tourists so in that last video Alexander learned how to use a camera and we're gonna take those skills now and we're gonna try and capture lightning I'll explain that in a minute certainly Ginza/Shimbashi area today for a little bit of a meeting the building that I'm meeting at that was really cool let me show you this this is it right here to meet Lucas so I've been here for the better part of two or three hours now I'm actually inside of one of those capsules we're working out some projects the window does not open probably wouldn't want it to open anyway now back in the day to have these really cool circular shades oh it's like spiral shaping and one or two other capsules still has the original shade so you can see it from the street but yeah ours is is gone it's just like a regular window look seven years ago Lucas took a photo out in this area at a spot that many people take a photo of it was just spectacular let me show you that for a second Lucas has been trying to recreate that photo for the better part of a decade he's trying to recreate it for the people in his workshop so they can learn how to do that and it is exactly and while we're here Lucas has agreed to show me the roof of this building which is called Nakagin Capsule Tower you most definitely seen photos of this place before and if you didn't you saw it in the opening but we're out on the roof and this this isn't it like I can just point the camera in any direction right now check this out even this building here has a very Mirror's Edge feel to it if only these pipes were red yeah the light is perfect for what we want to do yeah yeah it's just that super-bright heavy science you like this guy's lit up it couldn't ask for a better life like this is exactly why let's go in there and then we're going to use the reflection on the mirror to get a nice kind of kaleidoscope of people in life see how deep the rabbit-hole goes right all right so since Lucas knows how much I love sharing hidden little secrets he's sharing one of his with me today we just came up the Main Street in Ginza there yep and he's saying that we can just do a straight line shot right down to this shrine shrines right here there's the marker for it you know you wouldn't think oh it's terrifying back there well there is a shrine deck it's really dark what does this remind you guys out damn place right I love the sea we've all got our little tokyo secrets yeah even got like the Bell and everything people do actually come free let me let me take two seconds to show you guys this you know I'm hearing a lot when I bring you know people here for my workshops and one day when we were here the guy who manages this little shrine came here by chance and he said oh you're interested why don't you look inside and you unlock this door and there's a little altar in there you know those shrine that was the one once-in-a-lifetime kind of chance though look up there Lucas has us using the reflection of the light off of these mirrors that cascades across the people to try and catch faith is even if you time it perfectly and everything comes together just the subject themselves might not be that interesting so you also got to wait for an interesting person or some cool action that we're doing make it a little bit more you know let me play around with some of the camera settings and show you guys exactly what I mean it brings us back to this part of the video we're climbing a lot of stairs right now getting really tired I'll be okay let's just let's just get the you know the glitzy Ginza out there and it was like rich over here yeah you know such a cool contrast yeah that's pretty good all right Lucas just had a really cool idea so we're gonna find a spot and put the camera down for a second just let's do that he said let's play a game with this let's put up three pictures and have everyone guess who shot which picture so we're gonna put three pictures picture one picture two and picture three right now it's up to you you can guess in your head or you can leave it in the comments below where we gonna reveal it let's do a bit of a drumroll we have a drumroll and here it is I said just overlay the photos there you go guys is that what your guests also sorry about the audio quality here back to the shrine it hit because my legs are dead from all those check Alexander to have Alexander here but he's off getting pictures you may or may not have inspired him I hope so goal even I had a lot of fun with them I went into this knowing what to expect but I still had a lot of fun there's one that I really really want to do with Lukas and he has this photo adventure called vertigo where you go up under rooftops and give cityscape shot if that's something you're interested in leave it in the comments below he will see that we're gonna put the pressure I'll respond to comments a little bit as well so if there's any questions about cameras or anything how many different photo adventures are you running right now between tokyo kyoto and osaka I heard that there's a chance in the future of you having some form of like collaborative yeah that's the idea so maybe we'll have you on board yeah so much fun yeah I guess you go that way and I go this and guys just rip my shoe did you really just rip me a little bit yeah if you guys enjoyed this video definitely give that like button some love if you're new to the channel don't forget to hit subscribe and you know you know I will see you guys again real soon also behind us here is made you Jingu so why don't we close out by gonna take a look at that yeah go ahead and Alexander is still taking photos
