  • - I really hope this is working

  • 'cause I have tried everything.

  • If you saw my floor right now,

  • maybe I'll take a picture,

  • there's towels on the freaking floor

  • 'cause I'm trying to make the echo stop in here.

  • So, hopefully it's working,

  • if it's not, then I'm so sorry.

  • (bright upbeat music)

  • My nighttime routine is actually brand spanking new.

  • And let me tell you why.

  • I have never been really good

  • at continuing in nighttime routine.

  • Here's the thing,

  • when I'm tired, when I'm sleepy,

  • there's no return, there's no going to the sink,

  • taking off your makeup, going through a whole process,

  • practicing self-care and self-love,

  • it's not happening.

  • When I'm sleepy, it's done, it's over.

  • Or, maybe I am screaming.

  • It's because I'm screaming that the sound turns like that,

  • I can hear myself when I do that.

  • Maybe this a good practice to not speak as loud

  • 'cause a lot of people always complain about that.

  • Okay, with all that being said,

  • ever since the quarantine happened,

  • I have had the time to do this.

  • When I say time,

  • it means that I do it super early now.

  • So I will take my nighttime shower,

  • do my bedtime routine,

  • get myself ready to bed at 6:00 p.m.

  • It's been really fun to actually do it

  • for the last couple of months.

  • And I do have to say,

  • my skin is definitely very excited about it.

  • So today, we're gonna do

  • my new exciting quarantine skincare nighttime routine.

  • This routine is 11 steps.

  • So it's definitely,

  • it's a longer one.

  • First things first,

  • we're gonna put our hair in a bun

  • 'cause nobody wants to do all of this

  • with hair in your face. (clicks)

  • My skin type is as basic and normal as it comes.

  • No real issues, no concerns,

  • actually really straight forward,

  • and I think that has a lot to do with both genetics

  • and what you put in your body.

  • So, drink your water, prioritize your beauty sleep

  • and eat your greens.

  • First up for the routine today is,

  • we're obviously gonna take the makeup off.

  • I'm wearing makeup today 'cause I wanted to,

  • I don't know, I'll make taday special for some reason.

  • So we're gonna take that off with the first step

  • and my first product.

  • This is the cleanser I am currently using.

  • I got it 'cause it just sounded so yummy,

  • and it kind of reminded me of my go-to morning smoothie.

  • So, add a little water to your palms,

  • (water gushing)

  • and then you kind of just get in there

  • and gently start massaging your face.

  • See this, I would never have the energy, or patience,

  • or time to do this on a normal day.

  • So as you can see,

  • I really just like go all over all my eyes.

  • This one doesn't burn that much,

  • but definitely don't poke yourself in the eyes.

  • Okay, let's rinse with water.

  • (water gushing)

  • All right, we need a towel to towel off.

  • This is a floor towel,

  • this is another for towel.

  • Okay, we have a big towel today.

  • So let's just pat her face dry.

  • Gently wipe the makeup off.

  • So as you can see,

  • there's definitely still some leftover makeup, right?

  • But don't be scared, we're gonna take that off.

  • I am gonna use the oil-free eye makeup remover

  • from Neutrogena.

  • This is just a super basic one,

  • but it really just does the job, does the trick.

  • Put it on a cotton ball like that,

  • oh my God, that was like all of it and we're on quarantine,

  • and this is how much is left,

  • and we're definitely not going after that as an essential.

  • All right, well, let's enjoy it guys.

  • Remove the leftover mascara.

  • I really like this makeup remover

  • because it's just so, I don't know, basic and gentle.

  • I want to just wash my face,

  • and then if there's anything left over,

  • I just wanna wipe it off.

  • So, this is great for that and it's a great price.

  • 'Cause some of these products,

  • let me tell you,

  • now when I'm into this nighttime skincare routine thing,

  • people spend money on skincare, like a lot.

  • Okay, next step is the most expensive one.

  • We have a barber Sturm, Dr. Barber Sturm.

  • I can't even say it, hyalaronic serum.

  • This thing ain't cheap.

  • I literally just take two drops of it on my palm,

  • whoop!

  • And then massage that all over my face.

  • This is good stuff.

  • I've definitely seen a difference in my skin.

  • I don't know just brightness complexion,

  • what do you call that?

  • Next up is one of my favorite products.

  • It's an everyday serum from SuperFlower.

  • It actually has CBD in it.

  • Now if it does anything, I'm not sure,

  • it could be placebo or it could be real.

  • Everybody has different opinions on it,

  • but I just love the texture of it,

  • I love the smell of it,

  • It just makes me feel so nice.

  • So that's why I use it.

  • So yes, we're going double on serum here.

  • I remember the first time I heard about serum,

  • I was like, "Whoa, that's fancy.

  • "Not just a lotion, a serum?"

  • And now I obviously love it, okay.

  • Oh gosh, I barely just made it there.

  • Next up, a little breathing break, Mario Badescu.

  • This... (garage door squeaking)

  • Let's wait for the garage to go down

  • 'cause this is day time.

  • We'll be right back.

  • So, after we applied the serums, two of them,

  • we just let it sit for a second,

  • just to let it absorb,

  • and then we're gonna spritz

  • with Mario Badescu Facial Spray.

  • This one is with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender.

  • And I just really liked it 'cause it's like,

  • it's almost like a mental thing,

  • like you spray it and take a breath,

  • and you just collect your thoughts.

  • So let's do it.

  • (inhales deeply)

  • (exhales deeply)

  • (soft music)

  • You can just stay here for a second.

  • I mean, we're not gonna do that today.

  • But normally, I would do that a couple of times

  • 'cause it's nice.

  • All right, next up we have a fellow Dain.

  • I met Ole a couple of years ago,

  • and just absolutely fell in love with him.

  • He's always been huge in Denmark, which is where I'm from,

  • so I grew up knowing about him.

  • And then when he came up with a skincare line, I was like,

  • "Oh, a Danish, we're gonna be trying that."

  • I know I have dark circles under my eyes,

  • but before this, it was a lot worse.

  • So just take a little bit of the eye cream and put it under.

  • And this is one of the things

  • where I used to not think of eye cream

  • as like that important 'cause I was like,

  • "Well, I'll put lotion on."

  • I'll just put it on my eyes as well, who cares, right?

  • But obviously,

  • that's where we start getting fine lines quicker

  • 'cause the skin is thinner.

  • I actually just keep going till I feel good about it.

  • So, oh, it just feels so nice.

  • And I love the packaging, it's just fresh.

  • It just looks nice, you know.

  • Next up we have First Aid Beauty, First Aid Beauty.

  • This is the Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream.

  • I'm not gonna lie, this is pretty new to me.

  • I spent a good 30 minutes on Sephora's app to figure out

  • which night cream I should go with

  • since I was doing this adventure,

  • and this has jumped in my eyes.

  • I like the packaging, the reviews were great.

  • I like a thick lotion when I go to bed 'cause I'm like,

  • "It's gonna have so many hours

  • "to just sit there and do its thing."

  • So this is really wonderful for that.

  • It's not where I would spend

  • my majority of my skincare budget though,

  • 'cause I do feel like there's a lot of great, not cheaper,

  • but cheaper lotions versus serums in Wales,

  • that's where I like to splurge.

  • So, now we just let that sit for a second.

  • I like to do this 'cause a lot of makeup artists do this

  • before you start a job, a little facial massage.

  • So, since I have the time

  • and we're really just going through it today,

  • I'm gonna show you how you can do this.

  • Now, the next one has to be probably my favorite part

  • and my favorite product of my entire routine.

  • Obviously, it's all connected,

  • but I just love this so so much.

  • It's the Tata Harper, Tata Harper, Tata, Tata, Tata,

  • Tata, Tata, Tata.

  • Tata Harper Beautifying Face Oil.

  • And let me tell you,

  • that is the perfect name for it

  • 'cause that is exactly what I feel like when I put it on.

  • So you just take the dropper, whoop!

  • And then you just put it into your palms, boom.

  • I love that there's no option or choice

  • in how many droppers,

  • it's just like, this is what you need.

  • I put it all over my palms,

  • heat them up a little bit,

  • and now, my favorite part,

  • just massage that all over your face.

  • I know you're gonna look like really oily,

  • or I am when I'm done with this, but trust you wanna do it.

  • I mean, I would never have done this 10 years ago.

  • Never, but, I'm 28 now,

  • so it's time to take care of me.

  • I feel like for so long, you're like,

  • "Oh, I'm not getting older."

  • And then I turned 28 and I'm like,

  • "Oh, I did get older."

  • It's life.

  • But you know what, I'm actually not scared of getting older,

  • I like getting older.

  • I think there's a weird thing,

  • especially with girls and women about getting older is bad.

  • I'm like, every year I feel better.

  • So, for now, I guess.

  • Now, we are gonna spray with one of my favorite products,

  • not just for a skincare routine, but just in general.

  • This is awesome to just have,

  • so you just spray this.

  • (inhales) Again take your breath.

  • (inhaling deeply)

  • Exhale.

  • (exhaling deeply)

  • I have always been obsessed with lip balm.

  • I definitely think that

  • what people say about getting addicted to lip balm

  • is probably true.

  • But I did find one

  • that I actually physically didn't get addicted to

  • and it's my favorite thing ever.

  • It's from The Body Deli.

  • I...

  • (water gushing)

  • Excuse me.

  • I buy it in bulk 'cause I love it so much,

  • and it's one of my, I guess weird things.

  • Like if I don't have this on me or if I run out of it,

  • I get very upset.

  • So I don't go anywhere without this thing.

  • It also works as a natural highlighter.

  • So if you're on the go and you just need a little something,

  • you put it on your lips,

  • put on your nose,

  • put it up here,

  • and it will literally feel more like a highlighter as well.

  • I don't know why I just did that

  • 'cause I'm not going anywhere.

  • Oh, last step, I almost forgot.

  • Obviously, you can't forget about this area and this area.

  • So I like to use the Honey Butter Body lotion from Farmacy.

  • I just love the smell of it,

  • I love how big it is,

  • you're not gonna run out of it.

  • And I just put a little bit on my hands,

  • go all over my neck and down on my chest,

  • and even further down,

  • I'm not gonna show you that part.

  • But you got to take care of those babies too.

  • You know what I mean?

  • I feel like I have these memories from when I was a child.

  • And like in Spain on vacation

  • and seeing these women with, I don't know,

  • just like very destroyed skin.

  • And ever since then, I've been like,

  • "Okay, that's the one area we should probably take care of."

  • So I do that last, full body lotion.

  • Just on that, if I have time, do a full body and be like,

  • "Now you're pushing it."

  • You know what I mean?

  • Like now it's like getting very intense.

  • All right, so that was my nighttime routine.

  • Now I'm gonna go make myself a cup of tea, camomile tea,

  • put on a TV show,

  • and then probably pass out on the couch,

  • 'cause guess what?

  • I already did my nighttime routine,

  • and I can do whatever I want.

  • Good night.

- I really hope this is working
