  • Hi, It's candy here over in California, I live in L.

  • A county and man.

  • What has changed again since the last time we recorded, I believe with last Thursday.

  • It was a Friday.

  • The governor of California basically said that all the non essential stores shut down.

  • So basically the only establishments that are allowed to be open our grocery stores drugstores, back clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, so it's like a essential is allowed to stay open.

  • Restaurants were still open to, but not for dining only carry out.

  • Other than that, everything else has to close faras grocery shopping That has not changed.

  • I'm still having issues finding eggs.

  • It is almost a they close at eight.

  • They have no kind of close early.

  • Now stock up more food, and they also think opened up earlier just for right now.

  • But I still can't find any eggs, although there was bread.

  • And right now we are looking claiming of alcohol studio.

  • I did finally find some eggs at a much more upscale grocery store.

  • I guess you want to call I.

  • It doesn't look that upscale, but the prices of scale so I normally buy eggs just under $2 I cannot find eggs that are under $4.

  • The aisles were slowly stalking back up.

  • I've seen more Brende now, more canned goods, so and there's still plenty of produce.

  • I haven't seen any, like produce being completely sold out.

  • So that's nice, because I eat a lot of vegetables because things I've been doing at home, I've been doing more, I guess D I Y projects and I decided to start making my home face maths.

  • I found, um, a lot like handkerchiefs and kitchen towels that I haven't used you.

  • So I decided to use that as my fabric.

  • And I also needed elastic for the mask part, and I surprisingly, had some ha stick in my sunk it.

  • So I made some mass this week, and I think I did pretty well.

  • I think if my sewing machine was working a little bit better, I could probably do a better job.

  • Also decided Teoh teach my dog a new trick because I saw Crystal teaching coma last week.

  • How Teoh Pringle Bell.

  • So I asked her where she got it.

  • She got on Amazon, so I bought the same once I've been teaching so we that she learns really best because she's a little piggy.

  • So anything for treats Children?

  • Pretty best.

  • I've been teaching her that Good touch.

  • Can you just one pot?

  • Good.

  • Such okay without what it's like.

  • OK, No, no way.

  • Touch tryto teach her, like one new trick a week.

  • So that was my goal for this week was to teach her that that belt click.

  • She still needs a little more practice, though.

  • One thing I started doing this week is when I went when I went into the grocery stores, I put on some gloves.

  • But when I get all that, I'm putting my stuff away.

  • The wind down my boxes and cans, OK, I wear my gloves in this store, right?

  • I'm picking my stuff, going to check out.

  • I don't want to touch my credit card of my folks that my my stuff is on my phone in my phone.

  • Eso then I kind of remove one glows and then, you know, do the transaction that way.

  • Then I put my card away, put the clothes back on, and then when I get home, you know, remove a glass.

  • But then I'm like, Well, all the stuff.

  • I just bought it.

  • I touched with the clothes on.

  • So then do I have to disinfect this stuff?

  • But I I maybe I'm overthinking it.

  • I've also been doing my daily walks as usual with so we.

  • But I have noticed that there are a lot more people out on the neighborhood, you know, taking their walks.

  • Even the park that I usually go to is way more packs.

  • Now I am at the park today and, um, although you know the state of California has put in a safer at home initiative, that does not mean you can't go to the park.

  • But you just, you know, to make sure to maintain your distance of six feet from people I use a kind of this part with my dog is a nice open space.

  • There's plenty of people here, actually, in the parking lot.

  • It was almost full.

  • I grabbed the last spot.

  • There are a lot of families here biking, riding their horses, so there's a lot of activity going on, but everyone is keeping their distance.

  • The only people that are near each other are obviously their kids, other family members that's allowed but if you are, you know, if you're not related to the person.

  • If you're just friends, you are supposed to keep your distance.

  • But right now I'm in an area where it is very isolated.

  • I don't see anyone at the moment.

  • They're Zoe, So I stopped going to that part.

  • I love that part, but it was kind of supposed to be doing a social distancing thing.

  • Kind of defeats the purpose.

  • Purpose.

  • If I'm going somewhere where it's packed, those are The big difference is that are the big changes that happened this week?

  • Things are still kind of scarce in the grocery stores.

  • Nothing is back to Normally, things are closed.

  • I'm keeping my distance from people staying home like the governor ordered, and spending time with Zoe Outside is the only thing I've been doing.

  • When I do boss, I will besides grocery shopping and then taking her for walks.

  • So things I've noticed in Florida well, just recently, you know, with spring break.

  • And there's still a lot of beach goers, a lot of kids coming from college, going Teoh these crowded beaches when you're supposed to be practising social distancing.

  • It was just like a massive amounts of people.

  • So finally, on Sunday, a few days ago, they shut down all the beaches.

  • Unless you're on a private beach, then obviously you can still go to the beach.

  • But, you know, all the public beaches are closed.

  • So no more beach in Florida for now, in our county and Tampa Bay, they're putting in there trying to put in a stay at home order just that they have something in place.

  • So our mayor is trying to do this, but the county is not really agreeing with it.

  • They're thinking a curfew is better.

  • So there's been, like a lot of debate on what's going to happen.

  • So, yeah, maybe the next couple of days we'll hear something different because since Monday, she's been trying Teoh push for a stay at home rule.

  • But we'll see.

  • So what I've been doing this week, um, I've actually been enjoying it.

  • This quarantine, it's not 100% quarantine because it could still go outside and enjoy it.

  • Walk.

  • I could still take my dog to the dog park.

  • We're very careful of, you know, touching it.

  • Anything.

  • I've been doing exercises every day at home Yeah, my goal is to hit 400 calories every day.

  • So if you have an apple watch, you know that if you hit all three rings, you've accomplished all your goals for today s Oh, I'm trying to accomplish hating 400 calories every day, walking at least 30 minutes a day and also getting up every hour, 12 times in a day.

  • So, yeah, I just want a lot of YouTube videos.

  • It and I love these dance moves on And these hip hop moves just something fun to make the time pass by a lot faster have also been going grocery shopping every other day because, you know, I'm still trying to find some things because last week I couldn't find flower or I went to Walmart first thing this morning.

  • They opened their new hours.

  • Right now are 7 a.m. To 8:30 p.m. There was plenty of water.

  • So if you're in Tampa and you're looking for water, come in the morning at Wal Mart.

  • I'm in Tampa on the at the North Del May Bring location.

  • Still no toilet paper, no flower, no oil.

  • There is still plenty of chickens.

  • I got on the packet chicken, because I know I'm gonna use chicken for sure.

  • I'm just trying to get essential items.

  • You know, that all knee that I'm going to use?

  • I'm trying not to Overstock.

  • 01 thing I noticed is walmart is finally limiting the amount of things you can get.

  • They have signs throughout that.

  • Say, Hey, you know, you can only get one her item.

  • So I usually go to the self service, check out where they have, you know, 10 registers, and you could just check out yourself on.

  • And usually there's, you know, one staff member there just kind of overseeing everything.

  • But today they were on top of it.

  • They're looking at every single cart and making sure they only had one item per household and made sure that they weren't hoarding everything.

  • So there was a lot of people that were hoarding, of course.

  • So they took out.

  • You know, all those items like a sorry.

  • You can only get one item.

  • So kudos to home are for doing that.

  • Went to the Asian store this morning at 9:30 a.m. And I still had plenty of rice.

  • There was some rice packs ever gone pie like the cheaper ones.

  • But I typically buy the more expensive rice bags anyway because I just love Rice and I need to have the best price.

  • Their grocery store still had lots of products.

  • Nothing was out of stock, so that made me feel a little bit better.

  • It's Monday, March 23rd and I am at Wal Mart again today.

  • They have not restart really anything, or if they did, it's all gone already.

  • Um, I was looking for I was gonna say they had toilet paper, but no toilet paper.

  • I did find Flower, though, so I was happy about that because I haven't been able to find flour anywhere.

  • There's plenty of vegetables.

  • Chicken is kind of running out today anyway.

  • I'm sure they're going to restock, but you all the chicken thighs were how they have plenty of chicken breasts.

  • A tip with the WalMart shopping.

  • At least I don't know.

  • You know you'll find this everywhere, But at Wal Mart, they watched closely what everybody hasn't our cards.

  • So if you have more than one item of what they're trying to limit, but take it out of your car and they put it in the separate card by them.

  • So if you're looking for any of these products, you know, like water or 20 per so hard to find.

  • But veggie oil, things like that.

  • Just look in that car next to you, the cells associate, and you might find what you're looking for.

  • Of course, I've been playing with Kuma every day to, you know, she gets a little bit bored, so Ah, play with her toys.

  • She was a little bit crazy with her, her fluffy toy that she likes to just slip her head around and it kind of makes me laugh.

  • But she loves to play that.

  • And she also mastered her bell ring trick.

  • So I was very proud of her about Gugger.

  • Read about be the good good read about good care.

  • Yeah, she learned that trick in, like, two days.

  • If you have a food driven dog is very easy to teach tricks like this S O.

  • Yeah, I'm just wondering what trick I should teach her next.

  • I went to the dog park was come of this past weekend and everybody was practicing social distancing, which I was very proud of.

  • Just take my baby to the dog pot.

  • You might want to say hi worry.

  • Did you have fun?

  • Yeah, there is still the normal people there.

  • Everybody was practicing the social distancing, so that was great.

  • Everybody was aware, You know, they haven't shut down the outdoor parks yet, so I'm thankful for that.

  • I did see signs the warn people against using the playground equipment because there was a Children's park right next to the dog park.

  • But so far, it's a normal day to enjoy the dog park here in Tampa.

  • I'm It's a very large dog park, too, so we have plenty of room to spread out.

  • So yeah, so glad that I'm able to take her to the dog park.

  • I also took care of a lot of cleaning.

  • My apartment is pretty much a mess every day.

  • One day I just, like, really worked at it and just cleaned everything up, and it just feels so good to have a clean place to get also talked to my family again.

  • So, yeah, we're having these weekly calls those air great, too.

  • So I talked to my dad and mom in Japan, Candy in California and then also this time include our brother and our knees and our sister in law.

  • My call to you know, we talked a little bit about what's going on each other's lives, and surprisingly, in Japan.

  • Life isn't that different.

  • So my dad said that everybody is still going to work.

  • Everybody is, you know, still doing normal things, going to the grocery stores, going to the mall.

  • They said, like no stores are really closed.

  • The only thing that's closed our schools.

  • But, um, that's actually starting up against soon to.

  • So it's kind of strange that everywhere else around the world, you know, things are shutting down.

  • But Japan is kind of a normal, like normal daily life.

  • Yeah, I think like that's about it for this week of updates and what's been going on.

  • Um, I hope everybody is safe out there and make sure you're practicing social distancing.

  • If you like this video, please give it up.
