  • So I'd like to teach you about a poem called a Limerick.

  • Here is an example.

  • There is a producer called Key.

  • Limericks are short.

  • Poems originated in Ireland.

  • They have a pretty regular structure.

  • So it's easy to make your own and they're great Practicing your English.

  • Here is what you need to know.

  • They have five lines lines 12 and five have the same rhyme.

  • They have eight syllables.

  • Lines three and four have the same right.

  • They have five syllables.

  • Limericks tell a short story.

  • Line one introduces the character line to gives more detail.

  • Lines three and four are the story, and line five is the conclusion.
