  • Hi.

  • Welcome to show me the curry dot com I'm hit I'm a ninja.

  • And today we're gonna show you how to make caramel sauce at home as such A yummy worst tell recipe.

  • You can use it for anything.

  • You can put it on top of ice cream.

  • You can dip your fruits into it.

  • You can put it on desserts and something nice to just keep in your fridge and kind of have it on him when you need it, right?

  • Really easy recipe.

  • Right.

  • So make a big batch and just keep it.

  • My kids love it with some fruit.

  • So here I have a heavy bottom pan and we're gonna add one a cup of sugar, plain white sugar to it.

  • And I have a heavy bottom saucepan over here.

  • I would have add one cup off heavy.

  • We've been cream to it now.

  • Well hurtles will caramelize that.

  • I'm gonna have this on a separate stove simultaneously, and I will allow it to come to a boil.

  • And once it comes to board, I went out in 1/4 teaspoon off cinnamon powder and just mix it in and have it ready when she needs it to caramelize the sugar.

  • I have that heavy bottom pan on my stove, and I'm gonna put it on medium heat, and we're gonna let the sugar melt on its own without disturbing it, and you'll see it'll start forming liquids on the edges, and we're not gonna touch it until we see that happening.

  • If you can see right here, it's already starting to melt a little bit.

  • And if we have a thick layer of sugar like we do, we can gently take the sides.

  • That's kind of moving in a little bit without disturbing it too much.

  • And this insurers that it doesn't burn, and I'm just rotating the sugar kind of not disturb it too much.

  • You don't want to stir it too much, but at the same time you don't want it to burn.

  • Now this is a process that's a little tricky, so don't leave the side of the story.

  • You have to stick around and just keep babying it.

  • At the very last stage, we can stir it to make sure all the sugars incorporated and just turn down the stove to a simmer.

  • Make sure it doesn't burn, can also break down any lumps that might have formed.

  • This is a good time track in the orange juice because it'll stop it from caramelizing and give it a great fresh flavor.

  • So just about a couple of David spoons is enough.

  • So the more you keep cooking the sugar, the darker the caramel color will become.

  • So it's up to you.

  • If you want to really like caramel sauce, we can stop it here.

  • If you want a little bit deeper sauce, we can continue to cook it for a little bit longer.

  • Just make sure you keep stirring it so it doesn't burn.

  • So once the sugar has reached the color desired color, we're going to add in the cream and the cinnamon, and we'll keep risking as we keep adding it.

  • That's very hard, so you'll be very careful and tell you came down to the lowest.

  • Now the sauce will keep thickening as you keep cooking it.

  • So depending on the consistency that you want, you can stop the cooking process at any point, but just let you know that it will thicken even more as it cools down and see how it clings to your whisk.

  • But it doesn't clean too much.

  • And this is perfectly fine because, like I said, it's gonna take enough upon cooling, we're gonna go and switch up the stove and transfer it into another container.

  • So our caramel sauce is ready.

  • It looks delicious.

  • This whole place smells absolutely divine and now for storing, and you can either put it in a bottle.

  • But the easiest thing would be to put it in one of the squeeze bottle so that you can just take it out.

  • Just squeeze it.

  • Yeah, he won't need a spoon.

  • Then that way it's just easier and less messy.

  • Of course, you know the spoon is they can lick it after the catcher, so let's give it a try to look at the way this sticks to the end of the spoon.

  • This is like perfect consistency.

  • Look at that.

  • So it's there.

  • But it's, um, you know it's not.

  • Sleight is slipping off, sliding off very nice.

  • Now you just get a hint of orange flavor, but it's not overpowering.

  • A little bit of cinnamon, just caramel goodness.

  • We have some bread pudding that we're making right now.

  • It's gonna go perfect on that.

  • So we'll have a show that was with you next.
