  • And in this tutorial, I'm going to give you four tough team leader interview questions.

  • But also, more importantly, I'm going to give you the answers.

  • And in this video, you are going to get unique answers to the team leader interview questions Before I give you those questions and answers.

  • Now, during your team leader interview, you have to demonstrate for important qualities.

  • So you've gotta focus on these specifically during your responses to the team leader interview questions.

  • These are on ability to motivate and inspire your team.

  • You have to be able to motivate people and inspire them towards achieving.

  • The company goes.

  • I'll tell you how to do that during this tutorial.

  • Next one.

  • The next quality is you have to be a complete a finisher.

  • What I mean by this is somebody who is given a task or a project, and you go away and you actually finish it to the best of your ability and your usual team to complete and finish those tasks.

  • So you have to be someone who gets things done as quickly as possible.

  • You also have to be a highly organized to be an effective team leader on Also, you have to be accountable, be the one who takes responsibility not just for your own actions, but your team's actions Also.

  • Okay, so we're gonna focus on those four key qualities during our responses to the interview questions.

  • Question number What?

  • Let's get straight into those questions and answers.

  • Why will you make a good team leader on what qualities do you have relevant to the role, So this will be pretty much the first question that you will get arson.

  • It could sometimes reposed in a way of Tell me about yourself and why you want to be a team leader.

  • But we're gonna put it this way.

  • Why will you make a good team leader?

  • On what qualities do you have relevant to the rock him ago?

  • Here's my answer to these questions.

  • I will make a good team leader because I am passionate about leading a motivating people towards achieving the goals and objectives of my employer.

  • Now, in any given work situation, I feel a natural urge to take control and lead people towards a clear vision on DDE n n Go.

  • Now the qualities I I have on numerous and varied the main ones I possess that will enable me to excel in this role include an ability to motivate and lead those people whom I am responsible for.

  • An intense desire to complete and finish all tasks to the highest standards possible.

  • Ah, high level of responsibility and accountability and also effective communication skills.

  • If you hire me as your team leader, I will deliver consistent quality results.

  • You will be proud off.

  • It's a really strong answer on if you stick around.

  • Question number two.

  • How would you deal with an underperforming member of your team?

  • Now this is pretty much again, a guarantee question they're gonna want to know.

  • How do you deal with underperforming team members?

  • Here's my suggested answer.

  • I would deal with an underperforming member of my team using a four step approach.

  • Step one.

  • I would investigate the problem to find out exactly why they were underperforming.

  • It would be important to get to the bottom of any issues before jumping to conclusions as to why they were not performing correctly.

  • Step two.

  • I would put a plan of action in place to ensure they started performing quickly.

  • Now this plan may also include remedial training, having to be carried out to enable them to get them back to the required standard Step three.

  • I would monitor their performance regularly in the days and weeks after creating that plan of action just to ensure the requirements of the plan.

  • We're being met and finally step forward.

  • This would involve an assessment approximately eight weeks after the plan of action I've been completed.

  • Now, this assessment would enable me to ensure the turnaround in their performance had Bean fully completed.

  • So that's a really strong response to that.

  • What I like about it and I encourage you to do the same is to use a four step approach because then you're system izing How you're dealing with that underperforming member of your team.

  • Next question of your team leader interview, what would you do within the 1st 4 weeks of starting a czar newly appointed team leader?

  • So they want to know what you're gonna do in the first few weeks of starting now, most jobs that you apply for.

  • They will tell you what they want you to do.

  • But this is different.

  • A team leader asked.

  • Think Okay, this is what I'm gonna do.

  • So you need to have a plan before you start.

  • Here's a great answer to these questions.

  • I would first of all obtain a brief from you, my company directors as to what?

  • The objectives off my roller.

  • Then I would spend time closely monitoring the performance of my team I feel it's really important not to make rash changes or decisions in the early weeks of starting the role.

  • Instead, a more effective team leader will address any immediate concerns before monitoring his or her team so they can gather as much information as possible about how the team is performing on also whether any improve improvements needed to be made or not.

  • Then, after approximately two weeks, I would put a plan in place that includes all of the changes I feel need making before communicating my planted a team and also setting the high standards I require from everyone.

  • I would then motivate and inspire my team to help them achieve their full potential whilst working towards the company object is so again, a real solid answer based on what you know you're going to do within the first few weeks of starting in the role as a team leader.

  • And this might you really attractive as an employer and employee because you know what you're gonna do before you start.

  • Next question.

  • What motivational techniques would you utilize once leading your team?

  • What motivational techniques would you utilize whilst leading your team is a really good answer.

  • I would motivate my team in three ways.

  • Empowering, supporting and recognition.

  • I would empower my team by giving them clear instructions as to what I want to achieve it, and also how I expect things to be done.

  • I would also give my team the tools, the training and the resource is they need to perform their roles to the best of their ability.

  • I would then support them in their roles on this would include communicating with them regularly to show the team on there for them if needed, and to also ensure they are going in the right direction.

  • Finally, whenever the team does something well or of significance, I would recognize their achievements and reward them.

  • Rewarding your team does not mean spending money on them or buying them expensive gifts.

  • In fact, I believe the best form of recognition is simple.

  • Acknowledgement.

  • Simply telling your team you're proud of their achievements is an extremely positive action to take another solid answer.
