  • (laughing)

  • - Hey everybody, it's Natasha of natashaskitchen.com,

  • and today we are making cheeseburger sliders.

  • These are so easy to make,

  • you need a few simple ingredients.

  • My kids love these, they reheat really well

  • so they're perfect for meal planning.

  • And, I'm hungry, so let's get started.

  • (drum roll)

  • (upbeat music)

  • We'll start with the meat mixture.

  • Place a large skillet over medium high heat

  • and add half a tablespoon of olive oil.

  • Next add half of a finely diced yellow onion

  • and stir that for about 30 seconds.

  • Now add two pounds of lean ground beef.

  • I'm using a 90 10 ground beef.

  • (sizzling)

  • Use a firm spatula to break up the beef into small pieces,

  • then season the mixture with one teaspoon of salt,

  • one teaspoon of black pepper,

  • and one teaspoon of garlic powder.

  • (upbeat music)

  • Continue sauteing that, breaking up the beef

  • over medium high heat until the beef is just cooked through.

  • (upbeat music)

  • Once the meat is finished cooking,

  • turn of the heat and tilt the pan.

  • You wanna spoon out any excess fat,

  • or liquid that's released from the beef.

  • And if you used a beef with a higher fat content,

  • you will get more fat released,

  • which is okay, just spoon it out.

  • (upbeat music)

  • Once you've drained off the extra fat,

  • with the heat off, stir in 1/4 cup of real mayonnaise.

  • That little bit of mayo is the secret

  • to keeping the beef really juicy and tasty.

  • Set the beef mixture aside,

  • and we're gonna shred six ounces

  • of medium cheddar cheese on the large holes of a box grater.

  • This is a tool I use in my kitchen

  • all the time, I will link to it in the notes.

  • You'll also need eight slices of medium cheddar cheese,

  • and you can use all sliced cheese if you prefer,

  • but I love how shredded cheese melts into the ground beef.

  • Cut a 24 pack of dinner rolls in half

  • with a long serrated knife like so.

  • And you can also use two packs

  • of 12 dinner rolls if you can't find a 24 pack

  • and just set them next to each other.

  • If you're making this for a smaller crowd,

  • I love that you can easily cut the whole recipe in half.

  • To bake these we have our oven pre-heating

  • at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • We're gonna butter the bottom of a rimmed baking sheet.

  • Place the bottom half of the dinner rolls

  • onto the buttered baking sheet.

  • Now lined the cut side of the bread

  • with sliced cheese, cutting the cheese

  • in half as needed to completely cover the surface.

  • Spread the ground beef mixture

  • evenly over the sliced cheese using a spatula

  • to straighten off the edges.

  • (upbeat music)

  • And just spread that out semi evenly,

  • there is no need for perfection

  • with these cheeseburger sliders.

  • (upbeat music)

  • Now we're gonna cover that ground beef

  • with our six ounces of shredded cheddar cheese.

  • A layer of cheese on the top and bottom

  • of the meat will keep the buns from getting soggy,

  • and I love how that shredded cheese

  • melts into the beef making every bite irresistibly good.

  • Place the top half of the buns over the cheese,

  • then brush the tops of the buns

  • with two tablespoons of melted butter.

  • (upbeat music)

  • While the butter is still melted,

  • sprinkle the tops generously with sesame seeds.

  • This'll make the sliders

  • look like cute little cheeseburgers.

  • Bake those on the center rack of the oven

  • at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes,

  • or if you made them ahead and refrigerated,

  • bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 18 minutes,

  • or until the cheese is melted.

  • (laughing)

  • I am so excited, because it is time for the taste test.

  • Seriously, wasn't that so easy?

  • This is the simplest recipe and I love to serve this

  • with fries sauce, we have a bunch of different

  • sauces in our burger video, so make sure you check that out.

  • Including the barbecue one which is my personal favorite.

  • And also some pickles, you can slice up some pickles

  • and serve it, I love that crisp crunch,

  • and tang of the pickles with these.

  • But first, we're gonna cut these up.

  • These are so easy to serve,

  • you just slice it along the rows of the buns.

  • (laughing)

  • My buns, my buns, okay.

  • (laughing)

  • Here we go.

  • (upbeat music)

  • Ugh, I love these are so cute.

  • They're baby cheeseburgers.

  • And they taste just like burgers,

  • but you don't have to stand over your grill,

  • which is awesome, I love that.

  • And you get your cheeseburger fix.

  • Plus, these reheat really will.

  • Just 15, 20 seconds in the microwave

  • and you have a burger ready to go.

  • Okay, I cannot wait any longer.

  • (giggling)

  • We're gonna dive right into this.

  • Okay, here we go.

  • (upbeat music)

  • Look at that, love that little cheese pull.

  • And it's so gooey, and cheesy, and moist.

  • That little bit of mayo,

  • I'm tellin' you it goes a long way, do not skip it.

  • Okay here we go.

  • (laughing)

  • Get in my belly.

  • Kay, here we go.

  • I'm excited.

  • (giggling)

  • Are you excited?

  • (giggling)

  • Okay.

  • (biting burger)

  • Mmm.

  • Mm.

  • It has that classic cheeseburger flavor, super moist.

  • That beef is not dry at all.

  • And I love how that bottom bun

  • gets crisped up just a little bit with the butter.

  • Remember we buttered the pan?

  • Also, adding the cheese on the bottom

  • and the top of the meat keeps the bun

  • from getting soggy, so it is just still

  • super soft, and fluffy, and tastes like it just got baked

  • because it just came out of the oven.

  • And I have two more taste testers

  • that are very impatiently waiting.

  • Come on guys.

  • (swoosh)

  • - Me first.

  • - Okay, go ahead.

  • Grab a burger.

  • - This one.

  • - This one?

  • Okay here you go.

  • One for you.

  • And, okay, okay.

  • Ooh she's got the dip, she's goin' for the dip,

  • she knows what's good.

  • (laughing)

  • He's goin', oh oh.

  • The reviews are in.

  • You like it?

  • Yeah?

  • (laughing)

  • Okay, we're gonna eat.

  • We'll see you in our next video.

  • (chewing)

  • (upbeat music)

  • - Here mom.

  • - Bite of pickle, bite of burger.

  • Bite of pickle, bite of burger.

  • - Here mom.

  • - No I got one.

  • - Here mom.

  • - I've got one.

  • - No you can have another.

  • - Oh, thank you.

  • - Here mom.

  • (giggling)

  • Here.

  • - Cut.

  • Cut, cut, cut.
