  • I was just in Osaka, so I hopped on the bullet train.

  • That's a boat E two and 1/2 hour ride to get there.

  • You guys probably know that the bullet trains are super pricey.

  • So let me give you a huge tip for saving money If you're coming to Japan, If you are living in a country outside of Japan, you're eligible for Japan Rail Pass, also known as J R.

  • Anyways, I will see you guys in spoke up.

  • Welcome to my little business hotel room here in Fukuoka for the night.

  • I'm gonna head to bed pretty early because tomorrow morning I'm going to meet Michaela and we're gonna go on a little tour of the city.

  • I can't wait to see her, and I can't wait to see more Fukuoka City.

  • So I will say good night here, guys.

  • And I'll see you in the morning.

  • Bye for now, fingers.

  • Good morning.

  • And what men Up with Makayla.

  • And we're currently waiting outside my hotel because the taxi is coming to pick us up.

  • We're going on a J T be a taxi tour of the area today.

  • They're gonna show for us around to some famous spots.

  • Where we going?

  • We're going up to keep a key issue, which is part of Fukuoka Prefecture.

  • But Kitakyushu and Fukuoka City's are, like, entirely different vibes, entirely different parts of the three picture.

  • And tomorrow we're gonna hang out around the city.

  • All right, guys, let's go find a taxi for today Is a boat an hour away from our starting point.

  • This entire tour is gonna be about six hours long, but it's cool because we can kind of just chill in a taxi and not have to worry about, like figuring out the trains and stuff.

  • So I feel like these taxi tour is would be a really good option if you're the kind of person that's like a little nervous about taking public transport in Japan, which I was for like several years, because it's pretty scary if you don't speak the language or it's your first time here to schedule the taxi and we'll see you guys at our first stop.

  • Got amazing weather today.

  • It's gorgeous, so sunny, so you should be really fun.

  • We stop number one.

  • I love these roadside stops.

  • You guys know that it's so fine looking at all the different Oh Miyagi they have in the area.

  • I wonder what their flavor of ice cream is?

  • What come on.

  • But with show and it's almost cherry Boston seasons, lots of pink snacks everywhere.

  • I like that.

  • They have, like the supermarket sticker on it, as if you're buying over.

  • It's in season now, So really, we're getting These were twitting fish, egg bus.

  • We're gonna look beautiful tonight.

  • What have you found?

  • Chuck Game.

  • I love Jessica.

  • It's like where you put the dried fish over the rights of the dashi to make porridge.

  • Yeah, it's really nice.

  • Comes in lots of different flavors.

  • Strawberry stuff.

  • So we stopped at this parking area because there's actually a really nice view point of the bridge.

  • But with the Olympics coming up, so many locations in Japan are under construction, and unfortunately, the view spot is under construction.

  • We can't go down there, but we're gonna hop back in the taxi and actually drive over the bridge so we should get some nice views from the bridge itself.

  • So that's where the viewpoint is.

  • Unfortunately, we can't get there.

  • We still have a decent view of the bridge from over here, actually quickened bridge.

  • It's just like the ones that we saw in that she went on me.

  • Quedo cycling route.

  • No suspension bridge actually connects Kyushu Island with Main Island.

  • Really short distance just made Stop two of our taxi tour, and we're going to call a tow fish market, which is the largest fish market in this whole area.

  • It's a big, touristy spot.

  • There's lots of people here.

  • Yeah, holiday today, so it's probably gonna be a little more is even usual, but yeah, we're right on the water.

  • This area is so pretty.

  • You guys, we're just about to enter the market and there's a gigantic food stunt.

  • You right inside the main door of this little smile.

  • I'm very excited for it.

  • So lots of the souls are selling the same thing.

  • Lots of sushi.

  • Lots of food because they're in Yamaguchi Prefecture right now.

  • And they're famous for their food.

  • Lots of temporal A and fried foods decision.

  • I definitely want some day.

  • He looks good, but I'm not good at this.

  • It should be fresh.

  • Try it.

  • So when he finished choosing your sushi, you bring it up to the booth.

  • Yeah.

  • It's pretty common for people to buy their fish in the market, and then it's kind of dark and stuffy in there.

  • They come out and they have, like, a picnic here.

  • How gorgeous is this for cameraman?

  • Thank you.

  • Heard the food was really chewy and doesn't have much flavor.

  • Kind of similar to tie.

  • Well, yeah.

  • How did I love Thai?

  • Would you like for me?

  • Doesn't actually stand out as like a particular It has a very light taste when I guess that that makes it a nice thing to have in Compliment toe like more stronger tasting sushi.

  • Where is like if you had too much Sam and it might be too like oily or he had too much old, it'll be too oily, like it's a nice one toe have in combination with a bunch of other words.

  • Yeah, it's definitely light, and it's like you said so this was the second most popular item out the shop.

  • Be fatty tuna, even see the streaks of fat.

  • Here we go way eating that after the food, you really do all the difference in texture, so because it is more oily, it breaks apart easier when you chew it and it just falls apart in your mouth.

  • Whereas the fugu waas a lot leaner, they're both very, very different.

  • But they're both really good.

  • Oh, dear.

  • The local ice cream flavor here is you guess it.

  • Sea urchin, this one's ocean flavor.

  • I don't know which is worse.

  • I feel like it's worth it to come here just for all the cute food goo statues and lanterns.

  • Like it.

  • We found a gelato shop, and they had some very free options, but I got raspberry and blood orange and tequila.

  • I got shot and perfect Summer down here is the job in Japan is a difference in mother.

  • Really?

  • That?

  • Yeah, like it's snowing.

  • You're getting gelato.

  • So the next stop on our taxi tour is the con Mon pedestrian tunnel is really cool.

  • Underwater tunnel that connects where we are now back with Kyushu, right?

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  • You walk under underground under the water in this tunnel and get back to Kyushu Island.

  • But I want to take you across the road because there's a really cool little display across the road.

  • You can't miss it.

  • You do?

  • Come here.

  • So let's go see it.

  • This location is actually where the Battle of Gin Gee and hey, kid took place.

  • Battle of Don Noda.

  • It's called and the statues here are depicting the two leaders.

  • And apparently this is where KK Klan was defeated and their leader jumped into the sea on committed suicide.

  • So it's a very symbolic place.

  • In jumpy is history.

  • Heading down Thio underwater.

  • A tunnel crossing over back to Kyushu.

  • It costs a whopping zero.

  • And if you're walking and 20 yen, if you have a scooter or a bicycle e wonder how far underground it is.

  • It's going down like eight fours.

  • Terrifying.

  • Oh, it doesn't look like a tunnel.

  • So the part which we are passing under is about 800 meters long.

  • Underwater.

  • It's pretty here.

  • Que se had a glass ceiling is really cool.

  • So this is the borderline of Yamaguchi and coca perfection.

  • So way stand and we're back in Boca.

  • There's a really cute spot for a photo on the other side of the tunnel.

  • You get 20 gate and amazing looking bridge back to the taxi and onto our last location for the day, going to mow Jiko Retro.

  • Think I've been there before?

  • If it's the place that I'm remembering, I ended up there quite late at night times.

  • I've never seen it in a day.

  • We've made it to her last stop of the day.

  • This is Mo Jiko retro.

  • Why's it called retro?

  • You know why?

  • I think it's because as a port, it took a lot of foreign influence, like back when Japan it first opened up like world.

  • Yeah, other countries, and it has very like European feel.

  • There's a lot of does have like, yeah, the architecture is like not Japanese on all influenced by the outsider.

  • Okay, like a European.

  • I want one.

  • Earl Grey.

  • This chocolate team something I've never seen before.

  • A macho face pock I used to put much on my skin all the time.

  • Actually really helped with me.

  • That would probably be really nice.

  • What is Sankara sangria?

  • The instructions say yeah, you add wind, you put it in the fridge and that it's infuses with, like, fruit bets.

  • Eyes cruise.

  • And then you make it with sparkling water and you've got Andrea.

  • Oh, my God.

  • I love it.

  • I think it will be a game like this is pretty much it.

  • I love it.

  • Cool, Shawn.

  • I was so impressed by that little souvenir shop.

  • They have the coolest stuff.

  • Michaela found these which are probably the best find of the day.

  • I can't wait to try them out at home.

  • I can't imagine anything being more Charlotte.

  • Okay.

  • Chocolate flavored to you.

  • That's interesting.

  • Can't say I've ever had a banana T sounds good.

  • So I think the coolest thing we found in the shop or probably be soccer a cocktail mixes.

  • All you have to do is add your own neon shoot Japanese.

  • Suck it to it and it's got like cinnamon and sugar and some kind of herbs.

  • Maybe Sakura leaves sucker pedals.

  • It's gonna be so good.

  • Some fruit.

  • I can't wait to try.

  • It had to be really good.

  • Then I also got these tickets I love.

  • Oh, Charles.

  • Okay, I don't think I've ever shown it to you guys in a video before, but we mentioned it earlier.

  • It's Bhola rice, and you add this tea powder and it's usually got some kind of seaweed or other like savory flavors in it.

  • It's like the salty rice porridge.

  • Yeah, okay, yeah, I'll make it in a vlog and show you guys, but it's definitely something you should try if you're in Japan.

  • And finally, I found this cream tea with Suck relieves inside five eggs for $3 so it's pretty pricey, but they wrap it up really cute.

  • So stuff like this would make a really good souvenir.

  • If you're in the area, I need some souvenirs for your family.

  • So another feature of this Toxie, too, is even if you don't speak Japanese, they have a translation service.

  • I'll be the driver Where would you like to?

  • Um, could you please ask her if she could stop at a convenience store on the way to the hotel?

  • Okay.

  • They already know what we'll tell you.
