As you know, I'm really interested in the 19 fifties and the 19 sixties, the time I grew up on also because in 1989 I got a chance to make a television series on the 19 sixties called Making Sense of the Sixties.

So these films were made in the early sixties.

What's the generation gap?

Well, there was a generation gap, and it involved everything.

I mean, the young people separated from the previous generation fashion, music style, language, what they liked, what their values were, work in the workplace, family life.

I know how many of you are now upset with the results, and there's a lot to be upset about.

It didn't go perfectly for sure, and there's a lot of problems because of it.

But this generation gap really existed at that time, and you're going to see this in his clips.

And then, especially during senior year, the kids around me, it's off.

People just no upset all the time.

And I think that is a very materialistic world.

What is the materialistic world?

You've got it Sort of be a little bit detached, too.

Because how are you ever going to toe to know what you really think and what you really want and believe in a couple of days?

So it takes so long to find out what your something really is.

You know, you just keep going and going and going.

And you think, Well, my something will be here soon or lady home.

And, uh, it's really, really pretty good.

So what you gonna do?

You don't know?

You've got the army, you've got job choices.

You could go to graduate school.

But what do you do?

It's not there.

Not bad choices.

None of them more.

But it's the idea of working.

You don't know.

Very casual, informal with each other.

You got so much anger your head You don't worry about school job, social life, getting away with Parents are afraid to face it.

It's just a whole generation.

Just hear people black.

It's not that they lack concerned, but they lack enough concern to really look at a problem.

Figure out what might be an answer cold thing that they're concerned that it might affect them.

They're fun, but that's the extent of it.

You know, I really don't feel that you take the time even to tell me anything that that you're doing during the day.

And I can feel it all close to you.

You're just feeling you've got better things to worry about.

Parent home, about the problems of our entire during the day.
